A Passion for Fashion

Here are the lovely laura b. offspring, off to their first day of school.

Girlie Girl seems to go goofy in front of the camera :-) She did seem somewhat excited to be heading back to the fray.

Handsome Lad looking stylish in the great outdoors. Not quite so psyched to be returning to the educational salt mines....

Is that some kind of hereditary head tilt? Hm. Anyway, now you know that if you want to look and feel awesome you should be wearing plaids and jeans. Word.

What do you wear when you want to look good? What about when you want to feel good? Same thing? Or not?

Cute back-to-school photos! They both look like they're in good spirits!

When I want to look good, I wear one of my short sleeve, blouses - especially the black one with white embroidery. I love it. When I want to feel good I wear that top or T-shirt with my favorite jeans.

such a timely post.

as my kids grew up, we took pictures of them on the front porch every 1st day of school. after the family split up, we continued with 2 pics each school year. those pictures are smithonian worthy.
all of them.

those 2 kids are now 23 and 25. i asked them via email just last night to send me pics of themselves on their front porches. one is a college graduate archeologist in new zealand now, the other a college grad student in texas.

keep those first day of school pictures happening, lb.

(tmi? if so, i won't send you a photoshopped pic of them together circa 2009.)

I love those looks! Those faces are priceless too. I get such a kick out of the kids on the first day of school as they show up in their new duds... and all the excitement in their eyes.

I dress according to comfort.

Crazy4Coens: Thanks, grew 'em myself.

Tara: I think at that point they were both pretty happy...now the whole rest of the year to get through.
Oooh! I LOVE the way a black top looks with jeans for some reason. Nice choice.

Cornbread Hell: You have the right idea...keeping these little things going feels important. Besides these two, I have sons who are 24, 22, and 20. First day of school pictures have gone through many variations over the years.

And there is no such thing as TMI around here. Information is my drug of choice. Send it. Please :-)

Ananda: From the tiniest Kindergarteners to high school Seniors that very first day is bound to be at least a little exciting and hopeful.

Oh, Ananda, you are my girl. Long live the comfort dressers!!!

Churlita: Aw, thank you :-)

same thing. well, except when feeling good means feeling bad and wanting comfort.

How fun, great outfits.

I never used to be into dressing nicely, but in the past years I've taken to wearing nice dress shoes, black slacks, and a dress shirt with stripes.

Wish 'em luck for me, I always used to hate this time of year ;)

Sebastien: Nothing like a sharp dressed man.
I think Handsome Lad shares your opinion. School, meh.
