They Say We Won't Make It Far, Unless We Drive There in a Car

I've had my car trouble lately, haven't I! Makes me want to throw up my hands and forget even owning an automobile. I'd love to actually, but public transportation sucks pretty hard here. And I do feel obligated to have a reliable vehicle for the kids' sake.
But say that you decide not to drive. You're going somewhere within a reasonable distance for a change! For this Choose and Defend Wednesday, tell us what you do to get from Point A to Point B when you can do it under your own power.

Do you...

Bike

Or do you....

Hike

You know what to do! Choose and Defend!

I hike it. Too much trouble for me to wheel by bike out of my apartment and lock it up somewhere when I get to my destination. While walking to a place, though, especially a store, I have to remember to shop light and not buy stuff like a gallon of milk or a two-ton container of laundry soap.

walking is what I do most.. I do ride as a passenger in the car every so often.. But I prefer walking ..better than jogging I hear..

I'll hike it. I can really look silly on a bike.

I love riding a bike. I used to ride to work all the time, but my current bike doesn't have fenders and if the streets are wet, I get stripey butt.

Well, considering I have eleventy billion posts on biking, I think you know which one.

I drive. I don't walk far as I haven't got time. (terrible cop out I know!) I don't bike because my bum (butt?) is too big for the bicycle seat. :o)
I drive. I'm on the fence this one Laura. (I don't do public transport either... *shakes head* noooooooo )

@ no regrets - eleventy billion, so funny.

Tara: That is one thing about hoofing it, you don't want to end up wishing your brought your pack mule along ;-) One walker.

Mrs: That's right, I recall that you and LHM do a good deal of walking! It is low impact and thus easy on the joints. Two walkers.

AlienCG: I am sensing a whole list of things that very tall people may feel silly doing. I wouldn't have guessed it. Three walkers.

Churlita: And you put us all to shame with your endorphin producing runs! And one biker (stipey butt optional)

NoRegrets: haha! Yes, you're right. I had you pegged already. Plus, you are the only one I know who could climb somewhere if it were atop a nice cliff. Two bikers.

Daffy: I could put you down for a third option...riding the fence ;-) You are too funny!

Everyone: So far we have three walkers, two bikers, and one fence rider. Is that it? Anyone else have an opinion?
