Welcome to another edition of the hottest blogging activity ever, Saturday Scavenger Shots! Okay, that was a little bit of editorializing there, but still....
Cricket picked the word NUISANCE for this week. What a good challenge! I tend to think of something that is a NUISANCE as more of an inconvience than a menace. But I think that is also a bit of editorializing. Here are a couple NUISANCEs in my life:
My toilet is running, my toilet is running! What a NUISANCE. I know I should just tell the landlord and they would tend to it. Or I could probably even fix it myself. I just haven't done either of those things yet.
Between my not-often-appearing allergies appearing and my car worries and stuff, I am currently sporting some real unattractive baggage under my eyes. It is a NUISANCE to look tired. People comment on it, and that just makes me feel worse, although I know that isn't their intention.
I was going to take a picture of one of the crickets (no relation, I'm sure) that like to come in near the front door in the evening. They are a bit of a NUISANCE, but compared to most insects that can invade a home, not so bad. They come right under the door, attracted to the light I suppose, and sing their little songs. Last night, I didn't see any though...so no picture. I guess it is cooling down enough that they might not be making so many appearances. A small NUISANCE that might be over for the season.
Thanks for stopping by and not making a NUISANCE of yourself! You are the perfect guest, always. Check with Cricket to see who she will tag for next week :-)

crickets are nice to listen in the countryside.. not in the city.. they are a nuisance.. Good job on this weeks word..
The nuisances are chirping as I type this.
There's nothin worse than an uncooperative toilet.
Hey, don't talk bad about my cousins. The only ones I don't like are the uninvited guests who come inside to die. They die a little more quickly through the paws of four cats!
I believe our toilets are separated at birth, but I am the homeowner, so I have to do the repairs. Instead, I am shutting off the water so I don't have to hear! (Wonder how long that'll last.)
And, yes, we are saints for not including our children. I'm not sure if I even thought of it, but now that you mention it, it's a logical idea for sure.
I hope you get the loo fixed! Now that would be nuisance!
My husband say's I am a nuisance... I'm scared to ask him to elaborate! ;o)
As for eye bags, join the club! Mine are all a family of 9 would need for a six month vacation in the Bahamas!!
:o)
I've been lucky that nobody at work has told me I look tired, but my mom has said it. She's usually very accurate, though. Cuz when I look tired, odds are I really am.
Great examples! The toilet has so many nuisances that go along with it.
I'm pretty tired right now and I still have a flight and a two hour drive and a nearly full day of work.
By the way...jiggle the handle.
I hope you don't have to pay for water. That could be pretty costly.
Now that I'm older, when I'm tired, I look like I'm 90 years old. Ugh.
I've tagged you. :o)
Mrs: Yeah, crickets and camping go well together :-) Thanks.
Bobby: I guess I'm lucky these the extent of my nuisances at the moment.
I saw on your blog that you recently married. Congratulations :-)
Cricket: I worried as I was writing that I'd hurt some feelings. haha!
Luckily I am good at ignoring the noise of both the insects and the commode.
Ima pat us on the back for being nice moms.
Daffy: A loveable nuisance, I'm sure :-)
hee hee...a family of nine taking a vaction with your eye bags...you are the funniest!
Tara: My mom doesn't say anything, but she does always seem to know how I'm feeling.
Toilets - bah! Yet clearly we need them.... I shudder to think of the alternatives.
AlienCG: The life of a travelin' man. That would be bag inducing, if you were genetically programed for it.
And, yeah, that just isn't doing it anymore...the jiggling fix is done for.
Churlita: I don't pay for water, thus the lacksidaiscal attitude about actually fixing this thing. If I were paying I'd be all up on it. haha!
And I find that hard to believe. You are eternally girlish, I think :-)
Daffy: I better come over and see what this is about! But whatever it is...I LOVE to get tagged! Yay!
But it's not a nuisance to have green eyes! They are great!
NoRegrets: Thanks, but they are really just plain old blue in real life :-)
