Dancing at Discos, Eating Cheese on Toast

MERRY Saturday, one and all! Welcome to a very MERRY Scavenger Shots event. Mrs. Hairy Woman chose the very seasonally appropriate word, MERRY, for this week. Excellent choice.

I am working on getting into a MERRY frame of mind. I started my gift shopping yesterday, venturing out with my mom and sister. I love them both, but I don't shop well with others. I do better just pushing through on my own. Still it was also a nice social event, and it made me a bit MERRY and bright :-)

My photos didn't come out so great (quel suprise, I know). But I did want to attempt to capture my little try at joining in on the jollity of the season with some decor. Here's how you can rock it apartment style!

This is my next door neighbor's window with it's MERRY glow of lights.

Here is the string of MERRY snowflake lights across my front window. I know you can't tell, but they're very pretty!

Here is one of my snowflakes up close and personal. Feeling MERRY yet?

Ho! Ho! Ho! I thank you for joining the MERRY little gala and invite you to tour all the Saturday Scavenger Hunt blogs to get into the appropriate seasonal mood! And, as always, eat, drink, and be MERRY, for tomorrow we die. Wait no, that isn't what I want to leave you with! Leave off the last part of that quote, okay? Thanks.

MERRY Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Fruitful Kwanzaa and other appropriate seasonal greetings from me to you. And that is that!

Merry Merry. We finally got our Christmas tree up. Yay! Too bad our cats love to swat at the ornaments and play 'ornament soccer,' scooting ornaments around the floor, chasing them.

I love the snowflake lights! We had our tree up right after Thanksgiving. Loving it but will be ready to boot it out the door the day after Christmas.

Bobby: I'm not sure what I'm doing about a tree this year, so good for you! Aw, your kitties just want to join in the holiday fun...cute :-)

Movin': No matter when I put my tree up in is outta here the day after...or on some occasions, that very day, once the present part was all done!

We decided (mostly me) that due to having a rambuctious 3 yr old around and loose.. we will not doing the tree this year.. I will however compromise and use a pretty table top one for the actual day..

Love your decor of blinking snowflakes and lights.. very pretty.. and have a Merry time..

Mrs: Believe me, I understand that decision. At Kick Back Dude's house, they have a tree, but the ornaments start about half way up because Love Bug immediately became a big fan of taking them off.

NoRegrets: I thank you!

Tara: haha! I was going to say something about the neighbor and how if he had a house it would have one of those aggressively competitive light shows :-)

Churlita: hee hee! We all need to be ho ho ho'd now and then.
And thanks :-)
