Baby, You Can Drive My Car
Hola amigos! It is, once again, time for Choose and Defend Wednesday. This question was inspired by my endless kid related driving duties. So today we are going on a roadtrip. Yay! But of course, as always, you have a choice to make. On our roadtrip would you prefer to be....

I am a control freak in a car so I am the driver.
Oh without a doubt, I'd want to be the passenger. That way I can talk and look at the scenery without getting into an accident. I put lots of trust into drivers. Maybe I shouldn't but I do. They're fearless on highways too.
In the past I would have chosen passenger, or more specifically the navigator. However, since my wife has gotten her satnav the navigator role is filled and sadly my mapreading skills are now redundant. I therefore choose the driver role to fulfil the need for that sense of achievement.
DRIVER...I hate being on the passenger side of a car.
I don't drive so I prefer to be a passenger.. I love having brakes on my side when you suddenly have to stop.. I feel like I'm helping out..
Driver, I like full control baby!
and I don't drink so I usually am the driver anyway. My kids think I have a peaked cap....
so does my dad...
and my in-laws...

Mrs: Oh, yes, the imaginary brake. When I drive with my daughter it gets quite the workout.
Daffy: Sounds like your family is lucky to have a chauffeur who actually enjoys the task! Drive on, girl.
Everyone: So far we have four drivers and three (counting me) passengers! I know there are others who'd like to chime in here. Come on then!
Passenger for sure. I don't have those control issues and I love to space out and live in my own world.
A passenger. That way I can do other things and help navigate but take no responsibility if we end up lost.
Depends on how good the driver is, so to be safe, I'd say driver. I like the control.... As long as the passenger keeps me somewhat entertained and doesn't just sleep the whole time.
Churlita: I am with you on the control issues. Control = resposibility and I am fine with someone else taking those things on!
Rachel: Exactly! See? Let someone else take the responsibility! :-)
NoRegrets: You make a good point. The passenger should, ideally, keep things at least a bit entertaining if possible.
Everyone: So two more passengers, one more driver...brings the count to...oh my, a tie of five of each! More votes needed :-) Come on you quiet ones.
If it's my car, driver. But if we are taking your car... nevermind, I still want to drive!
