Whatcha Gonna Do With All That Junk?

Once again it is Choose and Defend Wednesday! Yay! Big shout out to The Alien for his help in choosing a topic for today's game. Let us begin...we all have a certain amount of stuff that travels through our lives. There is all that existential shit and then there is the real stuff that we either acquire puposefully or have thrust upon us. And of course there are many ways to deal with this stuff, these things, the objects. But here, there are two ways. Are you surprised? Nah! Okay...are you...

A Hoarder
OR

A Discarder

Choose, s’il vous plaĆ®t and then be sure to Defend your choice. You know you want to. You know you need to. Come on....just do it. (note: Don't sue me Nike)

Oh, a fun PS for you...I first wanted to put Hoarders vs. Tossers...but thought of my British friends :-) Hi Daffy! Hey there Furtive Wangler! Um, so Discarders seemed better... Choose and Defend!

So glad you didn't choose tossers (I know a few of those, lol!). It probably doesn't surprise you that I'm a hoarder. I do have blitzes every now and again and throw out a lot of junk but my natural tendency is to hoard. I'm not proud of it, so can't defend it.

I'm a DISCARDER for the most part. I don't collect to much and I normally don't hold on to anything for too long. So, my final answer is...DISCARDER.

I am certainly a hoarder. I have stuff I made in kindergarten still. True.

Discarder for sure. I have some hoarder friends who I helped clean their garage. They threw away enough clothes to fill a 4'x8'x4' trailer. And it was overflowingly full. I was flabbergasted.

Yeah, well, I'm a hoarder, but I do try and get over it and get rid of stuff so it doesn't get overwhelming. Speaking of which... should do that.

I try to get rid of as much stuff as possible. I'm much happier after I've taken a coal shovel to my house and scooped as much out as I can.

I want to be a discarder, I really do. But I'm more of a hoarder. I would say that I'm an organized hoarder at home. Not like those extreme cases where you can't go in a room because it's loaded or there isn't a pathway from the couch to the door. Nothing like that.

FW: Yay! I'm so glad you stopped by! And glad I didn't use 'tosser' :-D I find that people routinely defend things they aren't proud of...even more vigorously for that sometimes. But I can appreciate your reluctance. One Hoarder.

AlienCG: A practical fellow here and we have ourselves a contest. One Discarder.

Ananda: That is rather impressive. Two Hoarders.

3GirlKnight: That is what Hoarders need, I think...a Discarder to come make the tough decisions. Two Discarders.

Pamela: This here is like a public service messages :-) Three Hoarders.

Churlita: Sounds like you accidently slip into being a Hoarder, but by inclination we will call this...Three Discarders.

Tara: I know just what you mean. In pictures, your place always looks quite tidy and nice :-) Four Hoarders.

Everyone: This is a very close race! I love it when that happens. Four Hoarders, Three Discarders and the votes are still coming in, right? Speak up. Choose and Defend.

Well, for the most part, I am a hoarder. I am not like the crazy people on tv, but I do have a hard time getting rid of stuff thinking I might have a use for it down the road.

MrManuel: The crazy part is definitely not a requirement. Just be kinda one or the other. I know that maybe I should save it impulse! Five Hoarders.

I am a bit of a hoarder, but wish I was more of a tosser! I am getting better at thinning out the hoard :)

Sebastien: This question has brought out a bit of the wishful thinker in many of us! I guess you'd make....Six Hoarders.

Hoarders are pulling ahead at this point with six to Discarders three...
