My New Best Friend

It's true. I have a new best friend. He's pretty popular, but there are also a lot of people who enjoy hating him. They say he is shallow, bland... there is a great deal of speculation about his sexuality. You know how people enjoy guessing! I admit, he does come off a quite self-absorbed...yet he is compellingly personable as well. He does mention his mom quite a bit and I find that charming. He's a good talker, really keeps conversations rolling, knows how to ask the right questions. I think some people would find it obnoxious that he says, "I love you" to virtually anyone and everyone. It is. But still, who doesn't want to be loved? Even phony love will do in a pinch! He is a hardworking man, with several jobs. It is like, everywhere you look or listen, there he is. I know I am bound to receive negative comments about my new best friend. Yeah, you know him. And in spite of the fact that he is everywhere people hesitate to put in a kind word for him. Jealousy maybe? Don't hate, appreciate! The world is a more gossipy and fun place thanks to my new best friend.....

It's true. Ryan Seacrest is my new best friend. I love you, Ryan! Tell Ellen K and the interns...oh, and Simon, Paula, and Randy (my dawg) I said 'hi!'

(Note - Apologies all round. It has been a long week so far! - l.b.)

PS - Evil-E has commented about this week's Saturday Scavenger Shots word. It was chosen by Melissa at My Life and it is DOORS, which I think will be lots of fun. Pass it on!

I am neither here nor there on the subject. He shows up everywhere and even people like me know who he is. I think he at least works, unlike Paris and annoying celebrities like that.

"doors" is the word of the week....

Evil-E: You could have been much more evil, so I appreciate your restraint :-) And thank you for passing along the word of the week.

Doors! Ah ha! This'll be fun. Thank you Evil-E and Laura B.!

I'll give Seacrest credit for his short acting job in "Knocked Up". He was pretty good. Plus he was in a Scope commercial that was kind of cute.

He seems annoying. But whatever floats your boat!

Tara: Thank you for giving the guy some credit ;-) He's a hard working man! To me, he is cute, but not, like, attractive, you know...in that way.

Viki: I think he gets that reaction a lot :-) He definitely doesn't float my boat, but I do think he's cool in a cheesetastic way.

a friend of mine keeps telling my ex-boyfriend from last Summer that he looks like Ryan Seacrest, and he gets all offended. I don't think it's a bad thing though.

Churlita: Is he as petite as Ryan? Because that is the first thing I always notice about him.
