They Call Alabama the Crimson Tide

It has been one of those days, but I wanted to give you some quick Talk Talk for this Tuesday.  Who can I turn to for words when not just anything will do?  My boys, Donald and Walter...Steely Dan.  Talk Talk, guys.

My back to the wall
A victim of laughing chance
This is for me
The essence of true romance
Sharing the things we know and love
With those of my kind
Libations
Sensations
That stagger the mind
-Steely Dan lyrics, Deacon Blue (Aja)

I was fully feeling some of their most bitter and sarcastic lyrics, but opted instead for some that are almost romantic.  Almost.  Trying to shake a bad attitude.  I will have to think of something super fun for Choose and Defend Wednesday to keep us amused :-)  Talk Talk!

You know, I would never in a million years pictured these guys looking like that. In fact I couldn't have told you if it was one guy or several.

I hope you feel better today and that you're having a cheerful Wednesday!

I slipped into a bad mood yesterday too. Decided to write feverishly in my journal before giving up on Tuesday and going to bed in a huff.

Yesterday (Tues.) was not a great day for me either. I think all the excitement has slipped into "normal" life now and I had one of those blues you get you calm down. No reason, no rhyme... just not very up.
Let's have a better day today.

Steely Dan. I need to listen to them again. They always remind me of what I thought grown-up life would be like when I was a kid in the 70's - all suave and jazzy and going to cocktail parties...

Secret: They play with a lot of other people, but those guys are Steely Dan. I ♥ them.

Tara: What is in the air lately? I am less irritated today, but more tired, lethargic. I need to pull it together!
I had to laugh a little at the thought of you writing feverishly and then going to bed in a huff :-)

Ananda: I know just what you are taking about...that coming down feeling, leveling out. Now, you are living your life. And yours is a good one...I bet today is a better day :-)

Churlita: They have a very twisted sensibility. I just get happy when I hear them. I guess they do make me feel grown up, in a socially maladjusted way. haha!

I very much like the idea of going to bed in a huff when the day does not proceed correctly! Excellent idea!

Hopefully the rest of your week is much much better.

Peace, my friend!

Steely Dan wrote some great lyrics. I'm about to see if you did come up with something super amusing for C&D Wednesday (I haven't looked yet).
