I Put My Trust in You

Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to celebrate the END. This week's Saturday Scavenger Shots word was chosen by that long, cool drink AlienCG who roams through Swamp Gas & Moonlit Reflections.

Sorry to say I am not going to inspire shock and awe this week :-) I went the way I like to go...towards the stuff that consumes me. What stuff is that? Why, books, of course! Specifically, book ENDs.

We have these metal book ENDs all over the library. This one is in my cupboard. There isn't much to hold up at the moment, but next week when I start pulling books for my next six storytimes that book END will be earning its keep.

This is a different sort of book END. It is the END of an actual book. This happens to be the END of The Razor's Edge by W. Somerset Maugham. The last sentence reads: And however superciliously the highbrows carp, we the public in our hearts all like a success story; so perhaps my ENDing is not so unsatisfactory after all.

Ah, look at you, still here! A friend to the END! The only thing left to do is check with Alien and see if he can find it in his heart to tag someone for next week. The END.

Yay, the perfect person to post about books and bookends is the best library diva out there! Well done!

Bookends are, in fact ends and fit perfectly into this category. Good job.

Good job with the bookends. So many of my books are just stacked or in boxes.

I have my end post up finally.

Tara: Thanks! I have to be true to my environment :-)

AlienCG: I like your bread ends...I thought for sure you'd do a corn beef end :-)

Dmarks: As always, I really enjoyed how varied your post for the word is.

NoRegrets: haha! I like when that happens by chance.
