Traveling at the Speed of Light

That is how I am feeling lately. Zoom! There goes another one...hour, day, week, month, year...zip! Sometimes it is just about being busy. You know how that is, when you are concentrating on all that needs to be done time can really slip away. Sometimes it has nothing to do with activity level and is just a function of my age, I suspect.
I guess I mention this because the weekend and even yesterday just vanished in the blink of an eye! Of course I worked Saturday and that is always hectic. Then on Sunday we did a little party for Miss Personality at Chuck E. Cheese's. Do they have these all over? Anyway, it was mega crowded, noisy, small children everywhere...perfect for a three year old's birthday party. We did many parties there when my kids were small, so I knew what to expect. The bonus about going in grandma mode is that you can sit back a bit more. I put myself on Love Bug duty and was thereby authorized to sit at the table playing with her and letting her conk out when the noise level caused her to do that shut down thing that babies are so good at. So, it was quite a day and it just flew right by. Bonus, I was finally deemed worthy to receive the official news that there will indeed be another little Kick Back Dude / Princess Diva collaboration arriving somewhere around September 22. I know they are feeling overwhelmed and I remember very well how difficult it can be to tell everyone that yes, you are having another baby, yes already, yes, haha, you know what causes that... Trust me, people can be very judgemental. Probably with good reason, but that is neither here nor there. Baby is coming, might as well look forward to it with joy and gratitude I say!
This concludes my blithering, doddering post about a big something with a little nothing thrown in for good measure :-)

When I was younger I had two girls 16 months apart, so I remember that feeling too. My youngest was born on 9/22 also. It's a great day.

I remember Chuck-E-Cheese, I attended a few birthday parties at that place. The animatronic figures freaked me out, but I was fascinated by the person walking around in the Chuck-E- Cheese costume. Always tried to hug him, when really he's a complete stranger.

Congrats on the upcoming Kick Back Dude 2!

I used to laugh at my folks when they told me time goes faster as you get older. I didn't understand it. Now that I am almost 30, I see what they mean...

Chuck-E-Cheese is everywhere. There are a couple in the Cleveland area and they sell beer. (no joke)

The past two months have flown right by. Everything is a blur right now. The new car, the girlfriend, and learning all sorts of new stuff at the new job. My brain has not been this active in years. I like it.

Churlita: It sounds like a very auspicious day :-)

Tara: I never experienced it as a kid, only as a mom. Probably two very different things - haha!
And thank you :-)

MrManuel: And here you are still just a baby...give it a few years and watch it really start to move!

Evil-E: I thought maybe they were, but wasn't sure. Those beer serving ones may have the right idea.
You have had a lot going on, and it has been pure pleasure reading about such happiness.

It's good to hear that you got the ticket to relax. Congratulations on becoming a grandma again.

AlienCG: The ticket to relax is my golden ticket - haha! Thanks :-)

Am I the only one in the world who's never gone to a Chuck-e-Cheese?

Yea, the baby is coming and you have to prepare whether you planned it or not. The good thing is love bug will always have a friend that is family.
People can be very judgemental and I am finding that I have cut those judgemental people out of my life. I dont need it and I dont really care what they think of anything I am doing. I just dont think its worth spending precious time with people you look down on you. So adios to those who judge and do so very negatively

Dmarks: That sounds like an excellent blog post!

NoRegrets: Probably not the ONLY one...anyway, consider yourself lucky!

Viki: You have the right idea. There is no point in worrying about how other people see you and your choices. And instead of spending time defending yourself, it is probably just better to leave all that behind.
