Poem #9

I'll attempt an ode to motherhood
But I have a feeling it won't be so good
All those cliches spring to my mind
Original praise is harder to find

My own mom supports me like nobody else
If I am pants, she's suspenders and belts
My mom, small and strong, is like Mighty Mouse
She was the one holding up the whole house

My mom is goodness and faith and love
She's a genuine gift from heaven above
Okay, that's corny, but it is still true
Thank you , Mom.  I love you.

Aw I love this! As they say in "The Holiday"..."I'm looking for corny in my life!"

I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day!

NoRegrets: ha! Thank you :-)

Tara: I am a bashful fan of corny too :-D
I had a really good day, thanks.

So cute. I love how you got it to rhyme too.

Churlita: I don't go in for the rhyme-y poems too much, but I thought something more traditional for Mother's Day :-D
