Though You've Stopped Me Once Again, That's Not the End of the War

Today is Wednesday. That would be...Choose and Defend Wednesday. And I find myself feeling a little vengeful. But not much. Still, I am interested in the emotion and would like to hear how you handle it. When someone has done you wrong, done you wrong, wrong, wrong...how do you handle it? Choose and Defend. Do you...

Seek Vengeance
OR

Let It Go

Now is your chance to tell everyone how you handle your sh!t! Inspire us to greatness with the defense of your choice! I'm ready. Go.

I tend to walk away and try to think the best of everyone... if that is possible. It isn't always. But I find that anger and anxiety over things damage me way more than they do the one who hurt me.

I let it go after tactfully proving a point.

I'd vote to let it go. Who wants to be consumed with hate?

As much as I'm built like Mr. Cartoon Batman...HA!...I'm certainly a Let it Go'er. I'll get fired up for about as long as it takes to say and then get over it. I'm a believer in "what goes around, comes around" but I don't think I'm usually the instigator of the "comes around" part.

as much as I would love to say that I would seriously kick some ass, I am a peace lover. I would let it go and move on with my life. It's not worth the stress to seek vengeance or carry a grudge. LET IT GO, final answer.

Most of the time I let it go, or at least make the world think that I've let it go. Meanwhile I add a backup copy in my mind.

I'd say middle of the road, most of the times. But if it's someone who wants to take control of me, well, the hackles come up and I seek vengence.

Ananda: This is one of the clearest traits about you, so I'm not at all surprised to hear this. One for Letting it Go.

TNP: Somehow I imagine that you are very good at getting your point across :-) Two for Letting it Go.

FW: A very good point. Three for Letting it Go.

3GK: Hee hee...hey, Dark Knight! I like the way you've put that...what goes around, comes around, but you don't have to instigate it. Four for Letting it Go.

AlienCG: You could triumph through your skills of logic and reasoning for sure. Five for Letting it Go.

Tara: Aha! The secret backup file! But at least by appearances...Six for Letting it Go.

NoRegrets: Finally! Our hot tamale has shown up to tell a tale of the power of kicking some butt! :-) One for Vengeance.

Everyone: Thus far, bloggers are lovers, not fighters. We talk it out, we let it go...with a margin of 6 to 1. I think we may have some more people who need to join in this discussion. Let's hear it.

Give peace a chance, plus, if I think it over and realize I do need revenge, it's best to take time and really plan it properly. Revenge, they say, is a dish best served cold. I agree.

Sebastien: Hmmm...a little fence sitting here...peace or thoughful vengeance?

Sebastien Millon said...

Yeah, did I ever mention I have a problem with committing ;)

What the heck, I go with peace!
