You Have the Most Charming Smile!

It is Wednesday, which means it must be time to Choose and Defend! I am having my little troubles, so I needed a light, refreshing set of options to ponder. How about cartoons? We've done variations, but why not another? Yeah, you don't have a good reason, do you. Well neither do I!

You know the game...Choose. Sometimes it is easy, sometimes we struggle a bit...but we Choose. Defend. A simple statement of why you made your choice is fine...a vigorous defense kicks ass.

So...hows about some Nicktoons? I picked the two Nicktoons with the most episodes produced...surely you've seen them at some point. Which one is your favorite, out of THESE TWO. After you tell us that, feel free to expand and tell us all about your actual or other favorite Nicktoons. We're open to that.

Do you prefer...

Rugrats (Aug. 11, 1991-June 8, 2004) 172 episodes
OR

Spongebob Squarepants (May 1, 1999-present) 126 episodes

Leave your troubles at the door and have a silly little laugh. Fresh Hell insists. Really. Choose and Defend!

Oh my...Well both cartoons annoy me in their own special ways, and I try to avoid them most of the time. But I will choose Mistah Spongebob Squarepants. My nephew loves that show and watches it when he's over at mine or my mom's place. I get a few small chuckles out of the show.

Ooooooooooh, who lives in a pineapple under the sea? SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS! I admit, as shocking as it seems, I am a fan of the sponge and his friends. I never got into Rugrats. There's an adult appeal to Spongebob.

Make it a triple in favor of the S Bob SP! He is just so positive and does not have a mean bone in his ah... sponge.

Though I will admit to having a somewhat kindred feeling toward Chuckie.

Hands down, spongebob wins.

SpongeBob for sure. My girls watched Rugrats when they were younger, but it usually drove me crazy.

I quite like the Spongebob cartoon, and never liked Rugrats.

However, I'd rather have the rock-headed kid smile at me than have Spongebob smile at me. Spongebob's smile is usually accompanied by that awful laugh bothersomeness. It's one thing to watch the cartoon, but if I lived in his world, my reaction might be more like Squidward's.

Also, crawling toddlers are easier to get away from than Spongebob, who can sometimes move at warp speed.

Tara: haha! It is like they are created to please small children and annoy adults :-)
One for Spongebob.

AlienCG: Aw, you are young at heart and have that surreal sense of humor going on.
Two for Spongebob.

Ananda: hee hee! No bones in his body! And I know what you mean about Chuckie...I understood his feelings of doooom.
Three for Spongebob.

NoRegrets: Four for Spongebob!

Churlita: My kids were Nicktoon fans. I didn't mind any of them as much as Disney channel stuff...
Five for Spongebob.

Dmarks: You created an argument that actually went against your choice! But all good points for sure...toddlers are much easier to avoid than wily sea creatures. Six for Spongebob.

Everyone: I never know how this things will go! Clearly Spongebob Squarepants has that special something.
Personally, I have watched a LOT of Nicktoons over the years...and not one is finer than KaBlam! So awesome.

For some reason, ever since I first saw rugrats, I was disturbed by that show, both visually and sound-wise. Spongebob is straight gangsta. Movie was top notch as well!

Sebastien: I just saw the movie again last Sunday. Jealous? SEVEN for Spongebob.
