It Will Teach You To Love What You're Afraid Of...

I got to choose this week's Saturday Scavenger Hunt word, which I always find really exciting. Sometimes, I don't even necessarily have anything specific in mind and believe it or not, I didn't really this time either...at first. The word is HOPE. I am kind of a romantic and my head and heart are filled with HOPEs and dreams. Still, when it comes down to it, so much of the HOPE in my heart lives in these people...my people!

I HOPE my kids remain close.

I HOPE they always find the fun in small things.

I HOPE they keep reaching for goals...for their own HOPEs and dreams.

I HOPE they nourish the creativity they each posses.

I HOPE they remain willing to dive right in and make a mess, just because.

I HOPE they go through their lives with joy and a sense that anything is possible.

I know you see these characters a lot on my blog. I HOPE you aren't too tired of my little fits of adoration. There was one more person I considered including as right now I have a HOPE or two with him in mind...but I didn't want to make him feel weird by asking if I could put his photo on my blog. Maybe one day. I HOPE so.

EDIT: Here he is :-) Thank you, DR. I HOPE....so many things.

I am looking forward to going around to see your HOPE. And guess what? Now...I get to tag!!! I HOPE that Tara @ Eclectic Spaghetti will accept this assignment!

Your family is amazing! Always love posts about them, and what an inspiring post.

You must be such a wonderful influence for them all.

I like the idea of not being afraid to make a mess. Got me fired from my last job, but I like to stick to my values ;)

Your posts on family always touch a nerve... reminding me to feel thankful and so lucky to have amazing parents and a loving and talented sibling, my younger sister. I need to do a post about her one of these days.

BTW, that natalie dee bear drawing you have on your page cracks me up every time. I think it's one of my favorites.

I love your kid pics. I can never get tired of them. You are such a good mom and grandma - always teaching your family the important things in life.

It's always good to have high hopes for your kids and grandkids and for yourself, as well. Excellent examples of your HOPE for you and your loved ones..

Sebastien: Thank you for your very kind words. I hope you do a post on your sister. It sounds like you have a lot of love and respect for her...we need to meet her :-)

I honestly feel like I deal in messes almost full time. Seems important to embrace that. I'm glad you stuck to your principles!

And isn't that drawing awesome. It is the bearest sentiment ever, I think.

Churlita: Aw, thank you! I have a feeling there are many of us out here who make a point of thinking to ourselves...what would Churlita do? You're one of the most balanced moms ever :-)

AlienCG: You know my policy about optimism. I am full time pimping it...or trying. I'm glad you liked it...thanks Alien.

I love that picture of DR. Thank you for your kind hope for us...seems like people hoping for the same things have at least a fighting chance.

Great word...TIME. Thanks, Tara.
