I Can Scare the Pants Off the Holiest Ghost

Hola amigas and amigos! Today's Choose and Defend Wednesday is brought to you in partnership with Swamp Gas & Moonlit Reflections' "Scare Your Pants Off" Week! My question isn't toooo scary though...and I couldn't even bring myself to choose really scary illustrative photos. I am a total sissy when it comes to this stuff. But I know there are more than a few of you who aren't sissy babies at all! So, school me. Choose and Defend. What kind of unnerving sort of movie do you prefer...

Psychological Thrillers
OR
Violent Action Films

Lay it on me, sisters and brothers. When you want to get creeped out, what does it for you? Choose and Defend and make it count! SYPO rules! Woo!

Psychological for sure. I had blood and gore.

Psycho-logical movies! Although I did like "House of 1,000 Corpses" and the sequel.

Psychological Thrillers, definitely. I like Hitchcock and Serling movies and shows. Blood and gore is OK, but a good head scratcher is where it's at.

Ehh.....sorry, I can't choose. I love them both and both have movies in my top ten favorite films. You picked two good ones for your pictures!

Psycho thrillers! yay! I've been a Hitchcock fan since I was an itty bitty thing.

Psycho thrillers too. There are few action ones I like, but really hate the slashers without a decent plot.

Psychological thriller! all the way. Blood and gore can be fun, but I find that psychological thrillers tend to have better suspense and are more frightening. Even a movie like the Shining, that was very suspenseful and psychological, I can't watch it alone but it's one of my favorite movies EVER.

Pamela: Great word, thanks!
I'm not a big blood and gore fan myself. One for Psychological Thrillers.

Tara: I know you are a scary movie kind of gal! Two for Psychological Thrillers.

AlienCG: I imagine that you like things that give your brain a bit of a workout :-) Three for Psychological Thrillers.

MrManuel: I suppose I am not too surprised you'd be torn here. Glad you like my photo picks :-)

Ananda: Hitchcock is quite the master of the head game. Four for Psychological Thrillers.

Churlita: I agree...I guess I don't mind violence so much if it is wrapped about something interesting. Five for Psychological Thrillers.

Sebastien: I know you must like gore at least a little, but I certainly agree the often what you don't see is most frightening.
Six for Psychological Thrillers.

Everyone: Well! This is interesting! Bloggers are preferring Psychological Thrills to Violent Action Films 6 to 0. The closest thing the VAFs get to a vote is MrManuel not being able to choose!
Anyway, voting never closes :-) So if you haven't had your say, please do!

I'd have to choose psych thrillers too. I like both styles and some films combine the styles quite well but if I'm making a choice, there you have it.

FW: Yes, it is true that a film can have both, but it seems to be increasingly rare. Seven for Psychological Thrillers!
