Strephon kissed me in the spring,
Robin in the fall,
But Colin only looked at me
And never kissed at all.
Strephon's kiss was lost in jest,
Robin's lost in play,
But the kiss in Colin's eyes
Haunts me night and day.

Is there anything in your life that remains incomplete, but beautiful in it's intention? Talk Talk about it. I'm all ears...eyes, I mean.

I think the only thing missing in my life right now is a stable job. Recent events have filled an empty spot in my life.
Oh man. Yeah. A friendship I have with someone who will never date me. It's probably for the best, but sometimes the friendship confuses and frustrates me, but mostly it's wonderful and fills a void.
There was once a boy... a very sweet boy and we got soooo close yet never actually hooked up. The invitation was there, but I tarried too long.
No matter, 30 some odd years later we found each other again and both knew that we were still good friends. You can't beat that. Up until I refound him, I had my regrets. Now I know it was best and what I have now instead is better. A good friend over the passage of time... where as a fling would have ended us forever.
Besides, now I have found the right man for me. Yay! It may not feel like it at the time and believe me, it did not, but things happen for the best as my mother was fond of saying. Indeed.
I miss a friend.. we had a falling out and I wish things had happened differently..enough said!
That guy I've blogged about too much. I miss the interaction we used to have, and that seems to have completely diminished into once-a-year comments on Facebook. He's helping me get over him, that's for sure. I just wish it was quick rather than gradual at this point.
AlienCG: And that's the thing...life turns around in a heartbeat :-)
Churlita: That sounds like one of those things that you can just keep turning over in your mind...knowing that things are as they are for a reason, but the reason is a bit elusive.
Ananda: What a great story. And a lesson that always rings true...things happen as they do because, well, they have to! The end result is some kind of balance. You, of course, are the perfect example of someone who has been through plenty of WTF things and ended up with exactly what (who) you deserve :-)
Mrs: Aw, I know...and if we follow the theme here, this will all end up playing out exactly as it should. Eventually.
Tara: I think that is one of the hardest things. Part of you wanting to hold on to something, thinking why not? And the other part of you longing to just let it go. I know I can really, really drag things on.
