How Hot Is It?

We here in Southern California are experiencing a heat wave. How can you tell it is really, really hot? Glad you asked...

You know it is hot when...

...you start bonding with your air conditioner.
...your electric bill is higher than your rent.
...you cancel your Hotmail account because the name is unbearable.
...chickens lay fried eggs.
...the squirrels are handling their nuts with potholders.
...trees are whistling for dogs.
...you experience condensation on your butt from the hot water in the toilet.

This post has been brought to you by a band of hyperactive children who need cool down time in their public library. Thank you.

Wow, it really is hot there. Good one-liners. I hope you get some relief soon. Now go bond with the AC at the library.

AlienCG: :-) Thanks. And let's just say the AC and I are very good friends.

MrManuel: I kind of like it hot. But this is a surprise at this time of year, for sure.

Hot in the PHX as well! Public library is the best place to go, I'm thankful Phoenix has a beautiful library building with great selection.

I love all of those, but especially the one about canceling your Hotmail account. Lol.

Try to find a cool spot and take it easy over there! I hope it cools down to a decent temp soon.

I'm not a big air conditioning girl. I grew up in Arizona without it. But there are definitely days in the Summer here where it's 100 degrees with 95% humidity, when I make friends with it for a while.

Sebastien: People walk in sighing with relief. I love visiting other libraries and would enjoy seeing Phoenix's some time.

Tara: :-) Glad you like them! It is already starting to cool down and it is supposed to continue like that all week. Relief is in sight.

Churlita: haha! We all have to break down and accept the AC once in a while. But mostly, I do like it hotter rather than colder.

Pamela: Gee, her anatomy made the mercury jump to ninety-three...
Yes, sir!

Crazy Cleveburg is threatening snow. Stupid Cleveland. We'll get our heat wave soon enough, though, so don't be jealous of all this freezingness we got going on! :P

K_Sra: It is hard to even imagine snow at this moment. I will stick with sun I think.
