Long Weekend, Short Week, That's the Stuff

I wasn't sure what this weekend would be like, given the week I had. It actually turned out to be pretty restful and rejuvenating. It was very quiet for the most part and I was able to spend plenty of time just reading or watching television. Actually, not so much tv, as all my shows are ending and nothing much new is starting, so my tivo is looking pretty sad. I was fortunate in that WTG seemed to make a special point to either be gone or at least shut up in his own lair.

Yesterday was nice, as I got together for lunch with my mom and sister, as well as Girlie Girl, the Kick Back Dude gang, and briefly, my nephew Screamo. He brought his own car and left right after he ate, as he didn't care for the visit-y portion of the event. We just ate at Burger King, so that Miss Personality could play while we talked. It wasn't nice enough to hit the park, although it didn't actually rain much this weekend. It was just overcast and sort of yucky. Fit my mood anyway :-)

I also managed to get a lead on a couple of apartments. Well, phone numbers at least, although no one has yet called me back. At least I feel like I am doing something about my situation. But honestly, I don't know what is going to finally come of all this.

Let me close with a picture of someone very cute. It will help you to forgive me for this rather blah post weekend post!
A basketful of Love Bug...aw!

Woah! Cute with lovely big eyes! Fantastic!
The weekend sounds like it was just what you needed and you are indeed doing something! It's instinctive....it doesn't mean we have to be happy about things but we know what needs to be done and the grown up in us makes us get on a do it. (Does that make sense?)
I'm pleased that all your tv shows are finished! haha, that's good news for me.
*important message* Please do not, I repeat, do not let it leak out who wins the latest ANTM. It's not shown here til later in the year.... I mean it... I do...

So good to hear that you were able to relax this weekend! Me thinks you needed it! No, me KNOWS you needed it. Don't you love my English? I speak good.

I think there are some apartments available at my place. The commute would be a pain, though. ;) But we have libraries here. Just bring your family, but definitely not WTG. Nobody needs his crap 'round here or anywhere!

I'm glad to read that WTG left you alone this weekend. Love Bug is a little cutie.

Good for you for taking initiative. You'll do what works best for you in the end, but it can't hurt to know that you have options.

Boy, that is one cute baby.

Daffy: What you say makes sense. The grown up in me is telling me to do something I've been putting off for, literally, years :-)
And I solemnly swear not to disclose any ANTM secrets. You are mainly safe because I don't watch it regularly though...my good word is meaningless! haha!

Tara: You talk real purdy!
I would totally love living in your building and many things about Ohio sound nice...the winters would probably kill me though. :-)

Evil-E: Yes, the peace made the blah worthwhile this time.

AlienCG: Me too. And she is exceptionally cute, right?

Churlita: It does feel good to have done something.
Thanks, she has a fun personality too :-)

So you moving or the whole family is moving...I completely missed out on that. Apologies, I have been trying to hide...

And, I'm unclear too about the moving bit...

Viki and NoRegrets: I have done a post to catch everyone up with this, um, unusual situation.
