Release Them So Your Eyes Can Clear

My last post had me thinking about feeling safe and reassured that things are as they should be.  That led me to today's Choose and Defend Wednesday, which is about security objects.  Many of us had one as a child.   Even many adults have some sort of security object.  I think lately, my cell phone kind of serves that purpose!  But for today, let's go more traditional.  What sort of security object did you have?

Security Blanket
OR

Stuffed Animal

If yours was not one of these, what was it? If you didn't have one, what's that all about?  I hope you'll elaborate in comments about this Choose and Defend!  And thanks for playing :-)

Stuffed animal, definitely - or rather I had a stuffed ragdoll that my mom made. That little guy went everywhere with me!

I think my computer is my security blanket nowadays.

I had a teddy bear, but I don't really remember using it as a kid. Actually, my mom sent it back to me a couple of months ago. It's in pretty decent shape, but she probably maintained it a lot.

Totally a stuffed animal person. I never had a blankie. Jess STILL sleeps with her teddy.

Stuffed animal. It was a frog (named Froggie) who had a top hat and tail coat.

Tara: Oh a homemade rag doll! That is a great comfort item :-)
Yeah, I am pretty dependent on my computer too. One for Stuffed Animal (Toy).

3GK: So you weren't too in need of extra comforting...that you remember, at least. It is nice that you have it back with you! Two for Stuffed Animal.

MrManuel: Aw! Another way in which you two are a perfect match :-D Three AND Four for Stuffed Animal.

Everyone: Not too comment-y here, but looks like Stuffed Animals have it over Security Blankets, paws down!

Secret: Hey, I think we were commenting at the same time! My dog Gigi once had a top hat too! Five for Stuffed Animal.

I'm a stuffed animal girl. I'm not sure if it's because I lived in Arizona where it was too hot for a blanket. But I loved my teddy bear and even brought it to college with me...Yeah. Sad, I know.

Churlita: Nah, that doesn't seem sad to me! I had my Gigi until I had kids...then I gave her to my mom to protect her :-) Six for Stuffed Animal.
