Welcome to my Saturday Scavenger Shots post. It was a week right out of a Three's Company episode filled with wacky misunderstandings. Still, we finally all agreed that this week's word would be MAINTENANCE. Thank you to both NoRegrets and Churlita for your great "Who's on first" style of comedy shenanigans in coming up with this word. Yesssssssh!
When I was oot and aboot this week I looked around for things that somehow showed the idea of MAINTENANCE. Here's what I found:
Here is an old oil change sticker on the windshield of my car. An oil change is an important part of automotive MAINTENANCE. I'm pretty sure it is about time for me to tend to that. Hm.
I drive by this pile of old, dug up pipes on my way to work when I don't take the freeway. I'm not sure what they were for...water? Sewage? I don't know, but there is obviously some sort of MAINTENANCE going on along here.
This picture is actually from last...what, September maybe? Every year the Public Works Division has their Open House and Chili Cook-off. They always put out some of the equipment that their different departments use in the course of City MAINTENANCE. I bet these guys could answer my question about those pipes...
Thank you all for stopping in and especially thank you for helping with the MAINTENANCE of our little game.
Next week's word, already on deck thanks to NoRegrets, is MISUNDERSTANDING. Man, I just love youse guys!

Great idea taking a photo of the oil change sticker. My car is overdue for one, and I'd better get it done soon before my car has a nervous breakdown.
Can you swing on the thingie at the chili cook off?? ;-)
Hey! You get that oil changed! And don't let them talk you into a lot of unneccesary stuff. They like to do that.
Ah: they're just tearing up the street so they can put in some more street. Keeps those budgets and contracts pumped and movin.
Tara: I guess we do owe our cars some TLC. I hate that I sometimes put things off until I'm in crisis mode.
NoRegrets: haha! It never occurred to me to ask, but I need a friend like you in tow to liven things up :-)
Bobby: That is why I dread going! They never just want to do what I ask them to do!
haha! Just doing their part to stimulate the economy, eh?
Good word choice.. seeing that I have been out of the loop for awhile.. I will have to join in again this week...
Mrs: Nice to see you! Yes, please play :-)
Great pictures. I really have to get oil change soon, thanks for the reminder.
You did a great public service by posting that oil change reminder. Thatnks. And thanks for sorting all of this out too.
AlienCG: Thanks! I am tentatively setting aside time on my day off, Friday, for an oil change and also an alignment.
Churlita: haha! That's me, the PSA of the blogging world!
Happy to help by sticking my nose in :-)
