Not the Fun Post...Yet

Sorry, but I had to come and blog my complaint for the day. It is pretty quiet here at work, because the system with which we moniter computer time is being upgraded. For today and tomorrow, there are no computers available to the public aside from the materials catalogs. No computers = no people. That is not my complaint. That is actually a rather nice break! My complaint is that when I explained the computer situation to a couple with a little boy (probably about 3 or so) he became quite upset and said, "That lady is stupid!" Meaning me. Now, he is just a little boy and he was disappointed. Still not quite my complaint. My complaint would be in the way the parents handled it. Instead of perhaps gently reminding the little guy that we don't use unkind words like that no matter how disappointed we are, they just laughed as though it were the cutest thing they'd ever heard. Well, probably they were mad because they couldn't use the internet and were happy that he'd said what they were thinking :-) But honestly, those parents are going to be very unhappy in a few years when their adorable little smart mouth still believes that it is okay to say whatever you want to whomever you want. Okay, complaint over...fun to come, I promise!

awwww, how sweet....someone needs to smack the taste out the kids mouth.

Perhaps if parents believed in more than just dropping the kids off in front of a monitor and actually spent some time with them they would not be so damned bratty and mouthy.

Evil-E: haha! He deserved the beat down, but most parents prefer to think of their little darlings as little darlings.

Those parents are only hurting themselves. They'll figure it out soon enough.

Churlita: I don't know, some parents never do seem to figure it out.
