Eight Little Bits about l.b.

Thanks to Tara for the tag :-)

1. When I was a kid, I was always in the gifted programs. However, within those programs I perceived myself as rather mediocre.

2. My best friend, my sister, and I still played Barbies after most girls had given them up. It was our embarrassing secret. By that time we mostly enjoyed just arranging them in little scenarios.

3. Throughout my life I have been much more concerned with dressing for comfort than for looking fabulous.

4. I have never really enjoyed playing games...board games, cards, video games. Meh.

5. As I remember it, every time I have said "I am not going to get involved in this" and I did anyway (for whatever reason) I have ended up regretting it.

6. I only like the inside of pies. Most of the crust stays on my plate.

7. I love art and music so much, but I couldn't be much less talented in either area. It would be so cool to be a contributor as well as an appreciator.

8. You guys are lucky, because I am pretty sure that I am much better on paper (so to speak) than in person.

Excellent facts you have there! Thank you for playing! I love the fact that most of the pie crust stays on your plate. I mean really, they aren't called "crust pies", right? We break through the crust to get to the blueberries or apples or whatever. I try to eat most of my crust though. Depends on how tasty it is.

I played Barbies with friends through high school, I think. Then a few years ago I dug out my Barbies, washed all their clothes and put them in different situations before I packed them up again. Good times. :)

I like a bit of pie crust. But if you don't, you might as well not eat it. Less calories that way.

Not a fan of board games!!!???

Oh my, you are missing out. I loved playing games like Monopoly, games like that only end in huge fits of rage by one person or another, and usually the angry person flips the board over and trashs the bank... I always thought that was hilarious, some people take these games way too seriously...

I was never keen on the cards. I get so bored playing games like rummy. Board games, however, are fun. Scrabble is my favorite follewed closely by chess. I only play a couple of vdeo games, obsessively.

I dressed up for school for 13 years, including a tie. I had to dress up for a job I had for 7.5 years, including a tie. I hate getting dressed up now. I wear shorts 365 days a year, inside mostly in the winter. Jeans and T-shirts and my Doc's.

You're a wonderful person! You have a wonderful skill at bringing out details other people would miss. I think its lovely that you regard your sister as your best friend.

Tara: It was fun :-) Glad you liked my facts. I'm also glad I wasn't the only big girl still playing Barbies.

LATS: It isn't often I get such a painless way to save calories.

Sebastien: I have the opposite problem with games...I just don't care enough!

Evil-E: Maybe I just haven't found the right game yet :-)
I went to public school and never had a super dressy job. Unless there is some strict dress standard, I tend to think people look better if they are comfortable in their clothes.

BabyBull: My favorite fruit pie is apple. I also love lemon meringue and chocolate.
Good policy...I think a close mouth and an open mind goes a long way.

FW: You are very kind :-) My sister and I are only 17 months apart and she has always been there for me.

At first when I read about the pies I thought you said that you only like the inside of peas.
I was really confused.

Rachel: I'm sorry to say I don't like any part of peas. Please, no peas. haha!
