Reading, Listening, Watching - A Link-y Post!

I haven't written about anything too interesting lately and this post will be no exception, so rest easy!
Just wanted to mention my latest time wasters. I read, right in a a row, Lolly Winston's books, Good Grief and Happiness Sold Separately. Really, really enjoyed them both. After that I was sort of stuck and had to come up with a new list. Right now I am trying What Do You Do All Day? by Amy Schiebe. I think I am getting tired of the "rich stay at home mom agonizing over her decision" genre. You know? I may ditch it and move on to my next one which is a non-fiction called Spook: Science Tackles the Afterlife. I have actually wanted to read this for quite a while. It was on my list after I read Stiffs, but it wasn't in or something and I forgot about it. Now that I have it in my hands I am eager to get to it.
Lately, I have been mostly just listening whatever come on my favorite XM stations. I haven't gotten any CDs lately or downloaded any iTunes even. There again, I do have a list of things I want for when I get a little extra cash..which may be never. Anyway, I am loving Peter Bjorn and John.
Television viewing has hit a bit of a low. Most of my favorite show have just run their season finales. I guess this will free up my time in the evenings...or I will just begin watching things I didn't have time to watch before. Sad...but funny. Just like my affection for "American Idol" and "So You Think You Can Dance". I am an adult... and educated woman, so to speak. Yet I find these programs genuinely fun to watch and talk about. I don't know how to explain or defend it. It is just one of those things I guess.

I really have nothing special on the burner as far as entertainment. I have been getting killed by my allregies the last couple of weeks and I am distracted by them to say the least.

I heard about the book Spook on Coast to Coast am the other night, it sounds rather facinating.

My one TV vice of late has been the good old reliable Cleveland Indians. They are on all the time, they are playing well, and I love baseball.

I haven't really gotten a chance to watch all those reality shows, except someone recommended Deadliest Catch to me and I've been really liking that one. One should never be ashamed in liking something, if you like it, you like it. Sometimes, even really badly made things, terrible shows, books, well, sometimes they are charming in their terribleness. Does that make sense?

Evil-E: Sorry about your allergies. I know how tiring they can be.
At least you have your baseball!

Sebastien: I know what you mean about the charm of awfulness. And I know I'm not alone in liking these particular awful shows, as they do very well in the ratings. I guess I just like to at least pretend that I am more original than that ;-)

Viki: Ooooohhh! I love Rescue Me and Entourage too! I have been tivo'ing Entourage but not watching it yet and I eagerly await the return of Rescue Me.
