War Wounds

Every Monday, a bunch of my family goes to McDonald's for lunch and to let the little ones explore the play area. I join them when I have a Monday off and it is usually fun and non-traumatic. I guess I missed a doozy yesterday though. Apparently, Love Bug had some momentum going when she came off a slide and kept running forward and bashed her little forehead right into a table. You know how head wounds are...the blood was flowing freely.

Love Bug needed four stitches. Aw!

I heard she was very brave and was in fine spirits later on that day.  Kids are so resiliant.  Here's wishing her a speedy recovery and that next week there is no bloodshed.

Those playgrounds can be dangerous. When I was little my best friend from back then broke her finger when we bumped into one of our other friends on the slide. We turned her poor finger into a sandwich.

Bless her heart. I had a similar injury close to age on a playground, but on my chin when I fell off a slide. Six stitches and also lots of tears.

Oh no! Poor little Love Bug. Its bad enough when you konk your head, but it really gets scary when there is blood. Big hugs to her!

Aww.. the poor thing.. but yes kids are so resilient.. I remember when Graeme broke his toe.. we had to wait a few days before they put on a proper cast while wearing this makeshift thing that barely stayed on..

Ouch, poor little Love Bug! I'm glad she felt better later on. Booboos are a little easier to handle if you can get a cool, blue bandaid.

Silver: Kids can make anything dangerous :) That broken finger sounds painful!

Secret: Those vulnerable little faces, taking the blows. I wonder if she'll remember? I guess from pictures if nothing else :)

Silly: Thank you :) Yeah, there is the whole giant goose egg thing...then there is when it gets bloody, taking it to a whole new level.

Mrs: Oh, poor guy! Isn't it odd how they have to wait sometimes to set those things? Happened to Miss Personality like that too.

Tara: haha! Yes, cool bandaids and ice cream go a long way towards making things okay :)
