I Wish I Knew Ya
Aaaarrrrggghhhhh! That is my scream of agony as I galumph through this week. We're so busy! This is undoubtably a good thing. But I be tired. Never too tired for Choose and Defend Wednesday. Never :-) Let's take a little trip, shall we? We are traveling the world through books this summer, which is pretty awesome, but how about some real travel? Okay, well, imaginary real travel. So not real. Um...anyway, if you could travel to and around any one of the seven continents which would you Choose? And why? That would be the Defend portion of your task.

Australia has too many sharks and critters for me. Africa, Asia and South America have too many dangerous possibilities for a chicken like myself.
Besides, there are so many places here in the good old USA that I have not traveled to see... where my tourist dollars would go to the good people living here. And I'd love to see Canada... where all I have to worry about are the Sasquatch.
Well, I've still not been to South America yet (Central America is the closest I've gotten), or Antarctica. It wold be cool to knock them off my list. So I'd pick S.A. Still, there are lots of places in the continents I've been to that I'd love to see.
I would say Antarctica. It's the one continent I'm missing. But someone else would pay for it...
A to see Tokyo and Osaka this time of year...or any time of year. I have to say Asia. Maybe I'll hit the Great Wall of China, hang out in Singapore and and grab some barbecue on Korea. I'm packing my bags now.
Antartica. Because it never gets too hot there. And I hate it when it gets hot.
And they have their own version of the Justice League to defend it.
I choose Antarctica, and the "Justice League Antarctica" defends.
.... and I wrote this after I read the parent post, and before I read the other comments. Surprised that the others are lining up for the continent Way Way Down Under!
Finally, there's an awesome H.P. Lovecraft novella that takes place there. IF you click on this link, you can read it (it is old enough to be public domain now).
It is also in the works to be a movie made by Guillermo del Toro (Hellboy and Pan's Labyrinth).

Silly: Sounds like you have a sensible, yet fun-loving travel plan! Safe travels to you :-) One for North America.
Secret: Yes, I imagine even with extensive travel it would be hard to see all the great things out in the world. I have done so little travel it boggles the mind. One for South America.

Dmarks: Winner of Best Defense for sure! I haven't read that Lovecraft novella, so thanks for the link!!! I am betting a movie, in that setting, as envisioned by del Toro will be fantastic. Now, go on and chill safely, with the Justice League at your service.

Everyone: Wow! So surprised to see that the only continent to get more than one vote so far is Antarctica! I hope some more voters will stop by. Where do you want to go?
Whoa, I missed this one! For a long time I would've chosen Australia. Then I thought Asia, but now I choose Europe so that I can visit England, Ireland and Scotland. My brother did an ancestry report on our family, and I'm a lot of the U.K.
Tara: I am a Northern European sort of mutt too! I wonder if we'd feel the call of the homeland visiting there? One for Europe.
So far, the only continent unchosen is Australia. I wouldn't mind traveling there :-)
