Labor (No Delivery)

Happy Labor Day to mi amigos Americanos and Happy Monday to the rest of y'all!  I am so pleased to have this extra day off today.  Having a Monday off means I get to go out to lunch with my family.  Aside from that I have no certain plans, which is just my kind of day.

It's been a great weekend so far.  I worked on Saturday and it was very busy, but I had the best desk shift ever.  There were three of us there so I only had to work the first two hours of the day on desk.  Yes, it was busy, but after that...how luxurious!  After work a couple of the girls had arranged a sort of field trip for us.  A whole bunch of us went bowling.  I hadn't been in a really long time...and my bowling skills were certainly never renowned.  I was happy enough with a score of 69, the supportive cheers of my compadres echoing in my ears :-)   Here are some of us working the camera after a triumphant game -

On Sunday, I slept in a little.  Kick Back Dude brought the kids over, so that he and Handsome Lad could go for a cross country training run together.  Kick Back Dude has been a runner since the day he could walk, but Handsome Lad is really just starting out.  It's nice for them to have an activity together and me and the kids had fun tearing my apartment to pieces :-)  DR even kept me company on the phone for part of the time.  After the guys came back, half day-id, we had some lunch and languished for awhile.

Back to work tomorrow, but I am into the four day work week and definitely into being off next Saturday when storytime sign-ups are going on.  Woot!

Hope your weekend was / is a great one too!

Hee hee. 69. Way to score!

It sounds like an awesome time. I was talking to some people about going bowling soon. You look so adorable there too...As usual.

Secret: Thanks :-) We all need that down time. Your Labor Day activity sounded great!

Tara: I love the photo too...taken with a friend's actual camera instead of one of my sad phone shots :-D I was really glad that a couple people put in the effort to set it all up for us.

Churlita: ha! I had a laugh at that, too.
You should definitely go bowling! I like games that can be played by a group with all skill levels and it is still fun.
Thanks, Churlish Figure :-)

I actually had a fairly enjoyable Labor Day, the issues of which you read notwithstanding. Glad to hear that your Labor Day was fun and relaxing.

BrightenedBoy: I'm glad to hear that. Although your situation is private, nonetheless, I've had it on my mind a bit.
