Three Wishes for 2010

This is an Eclectic Holiday post.  It is they day to list three wishes for the coming year, so here I am all ready to place my order :-)  I guess I won't wish for the obvious things, like my family's health and safety.  I mean, that is a given, right?  I thought maybe I'd take this time to try and be a little more creative or something...
More like a magic Genie situation than a prayer, if you see what I am saying.

1.  I wish I could get by with less sleep.  I need more time!  And I want it without that inconvenient exhausted feeling that comes the next day when I try to get it by just ignoring the conventions of "bed time".

2.  I wish I could advance in my field without spending a great deal of time and money getting a Masters degree to do work that I already do.  I don't want to devalue librarianship, but so much of it can be learned on the job.  I'd love to get paid for the work I do, in spite of only having a Bachelors.

3.  I wish I could fly.  I've always wished it and I'm not giving up on the dream now!

I've always liked the saying - If wishes were horses, then beggers would ride.   Sure these things are probably not going to happen in 2010...but dreaming is free and so is wishing.  What are your three wishes?

First, I wish I had a car that was reliable. Second is that I wish I could find the place where I belong.
Third, I wish that I could go some place fun on a real vacation.

I wish I would get a job soon. It's been more than a year now and I'm bored.

I wish I would get inspired to and get creative sometime soon.

I wish I had super strength.

A nice vacation sounds fantastic right about now. I'll steal that one. Thanks Ananda!

While I'm glad I don't need to wish for a job (sorry ACG), I wish the company I work for would pull out of the red.

I wish for some emotional rest. I'm getting pretty tired.

What do you know, I wish I could do all those too, especially get by with less sleep. I don't know how people get by on less than 8 hours a night.

Ananada: Those could be my wishes too, every one. Only #2 does necessarily require funding, so I am going to focus on that...

AlienCG: I can see all those things happening for you. Even super strength :-)

KenV: The vacation one is good, isn't it? And it might even provide some emotional rest as well.

MrManuel: I seem to be getting 5 or 6 at most and it just isn't cutting it these days. Guess I'll keep wishing :-)

I wish I had telekinesis. Not the dangerous kind like Carrie had, but just a touch of it so I can pour myself a cup of coffee while still sitting at my desk.

I wish I could have a baby porcupine as a pet.

I wish I had a patio at my apartment.

I wish I could sing like I did as a kid.. I had potential..

I wish that Dora and Diego would retire..or go on tour..

Last but not least is to see a real live concert.. like Nickleback or Pink Floyd..

I would wish to have enough money to never have to worry about it again.

I'd also want to be able to teleport myself anywhere I want to go.

Then I'd wish to be able to get plenty of sleep.

Flying is overrated... Ok, it's not. Flying is fantastic. I do it all the time in my dreams. But sometimes I crash.

My wishes...

Wish I was ruler of the world.

Wish I had lots of money so I could rule the world.

Wish I had a super private army so I could rule the world.

I'm a pretty consistent person.

Tara: Just the word 'telekinesis' makes me think of Jack Black singing: How 'bout the power to kill a yak from 200 yards away... with mind bullets! That's telekinesis, Kyle! :-)

Aw, a baby porcupine! Some day, Tara, some day.

Mrs: Oh, I have never had any kind of voice...you are so lucky! What a great gift.

So, if Dora and Deigo go out on tour, you mean to tell me you'll hold out for Nickleback? hee hee!

Churlita: Those wishes sound great to me too...It would be so amazing not to have to think about money ALL the time.

Sebastien: I think it is important for a leader to be consistent, as well as somewhat sociopathic...so seems like you are pretty well equipped to go! Yay!
