Crushes on Inanimate Objects

Here are some things that I love that can never love me back :-) Takes a lot of the pressure off!

Guns, Germs, and Steel: The Fates of Human Societies

&

Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed
Both of these books are by Jared Diamond and they are some serious, kickass books! They are both pretty popular non-fiction titles, but since I don't read all that much non-fiction they kind of scared me. But I loved them. They were very detailed, very clearly written, and full of the most amazing stories about people all throughout history. Amazing. Okay, moving on...

The Smart Car Roadster
Isn't this guy the cutest? I would love to tool around in one of these teeny, economical cars! When I see them on the street I want to stop the drivers and hug them. Wow, that would scare them, wouldn't it!

Pyrex bowls
Even though I'm not so domestically inclined, I just love Pyrex. It is so pretty and useful. I also like CorningWare. So sue me. :-)

Popcorn
Possibly a perfect food. Air popped, it is pretty healthy! I don't even like mine all greasy and buttery. But different seasonings are fun. And when you're in the mood for something sweet and not so healthy, you can have caramel corn! Sometimes it is the simple things in life, such as a crunchy, fragrant bowl of popcorn with the beverage of your choice...hot or cold, either works...that make it a life worth living.

What inanimate (or okay, animate, for the more well adjusted) things do you have a crush on lately? The laura b. would love to know.

Air-popped popcorn, definitely, is sooo tasty. With just a dash of salt.

I have renewed my crush for two Ben & Jerry ice cream flavors: peanut butter cup and chocolate chip cookie dough. I am planning on having a rendezvous with the pint of chocolate peanut butter cup ice cream later tonight. Shhh, don't tell anyone. ;)

That is one cool car! I wonder how it handles in snow?

I like popcorn to.. not too greasy and not too salty.. I love using my pyrex mixing bowl for a bigger munchiefest or a smaller bowl for a one time snack..

all good choices.. Although the We have dubbed the "smart car" the "stupid car" .. enough room for two, but no room for anything else.. I also saw a picture of one of these that had been hit by a Mack truck.. the person didn't live to tell his tell..

I like my nonstick griddle pan. It provides me pancakes on Saturday morning.

I love my basement entertainment center. I admit, I am a material person.

Tara: Ooohhh, Ben & Jerry...a couple of bad boys. We'll just keep this between us ;-)

Mrs: Well, unless you drive another Mack truck, your chances aren't so great...and I would just need enough room for getting myself to and from work, basically. I am completely over big cars, since I don't need them for a swarm of kids any longer :-)

AlienCG: Those are great things to love! I think it is okay to appreciate the things in your life as well as the people.

I love popcorn too. I air pop it, but add butter and a little bit of nutritional yeast so I can get that vitamin B.

Churlita: I hadn't even considered adding something nutritional to my popcorn...then it really would be the perfect food!
