Fresh Starts

Yesterday was the first day of school. It seemed clear these past few days that Girlie Girl and Handsome Lad were putting off thinking about it. Finally, Monday evening, they gave in and admitted to being a little excited. I just wanted to post a couple of pictures of them going off yesterday morning...entering a new year...and in Handsome Lad's case, a new place.

Here they are all duded up, looking fresh and fine. Handsome Lad is wearing the green t-shirt that Girlie Girl assured him would be most fabulous.

And here is Handsome Lad by Grandma's car. Notice that now Girlie Girl is gone, he has changed into the plain white t-shirt that he intended to wear all along. It was nice of him to at least pretend to concede to her greater sartorial wisdom. Thumbs up!

welcome back....

At least he can choose what to wear...us little Catholic school kids had to wear the same thing all the time.

Ah it's that time of year already. School is back in session. I hope it's a good year for all of the kids.

NoRegrets: And I got excited when they did. It made me happy.

MrManuel: Exactly! She never had to know her advise wasn't taken.

Daffy: They really are good kids :-) I'm pretty lucky.

Tara: Thanks. It does make me glad that they still enjoy going back to school.

Mrs: Thank you :-) I am proud, truly.

Evil-E: Thanks! Even some public schools around here started doing uniforms. I sort of hoped our district would take up the idea, but so far they haven't.

Renee: Thank you :-)

AlienCG: Summer went by so quickly. I, too, am hoping for a good year.

Churlita: They grow up before you know it. Handsome Lad hasn't been back to the house in a few weeks, but still will not commit in words to "living" in any one place. It is a puzzler.
