Um.
Well...
Huh.
I guess I really didn't do much! I sat around reading and watching tv quite a bit. My other main activity was driving the kidlets around. Unfortunately for Girlie Girl I can't really let her drive my car right now. The brakes are a bit not great at the moment and getting new ones is going to have a wait a couple of weeks. I don't think I am driving dangerous just yet, but I wouldn't put her behind the wheel with even the slightest chance of something going wrong. So I drove, cautiously. And read many books. And stared at the television.
Oh! I did have one fun outting. Last Thursday evening I went to a free concert in this wonderful park in Pasadena. John Doe of X was there and he sounded awesome. He also made fun of how tame all us old X fans have gotten over the years :-)
Anyway, that was my one real grown-up activity.
Still, it was nice to be away from work and I do feel refreshed and ready to face the next few months. And it was great to get back to your blogs too!

I have heard of them, but I haven't heard anything from X. I guess I just never thought about listening to them.
It sounds like a good relaxing bit of time off. You truly did as much nothing as possible.
That is what breaks are all about.. Lolling about doing exactly what you want. It sounds to me as though you had a great time. Finding time to read is hard for working mums. (I only know that becasue I know I struggle to sind time to read!)
That dude is rather handsome in a rugged kind of way!
X, there's a name I have not heard in a while. Sounds like a fun and free way to spend an evening.
Welcome back to blog-world once again, we've missed you.
So glad you were able to get all refreshed and had some fun!
I hate it when cars need stuff. Someday there'll be a car that fixes itself. Like the horror movie car Christine, only hopefully not possessed.
he is a hottie.. Welcome back to the blog world.. You were missed..
That's funny. When X played here in 1983, one of my friends came out of the pit with a bruise of someone's handprint on his chest. I'm sure we're all tamer since then.
Taking a break where you don't do much but lounge, watch tv, etc is necessary now and then!
NoRegrets: Yeah, right? Very cute.
AlienCG: You would like X, I think. Give them a listen. It was lots of nothing and I couldn't be prouder :-)
Daffy: You're right, finding time for reading can be a challenge. I am rested.
John Doe is a great age appropriate sex symbol for me :-)
Evil-E: They are still doing their thing, as well as individual things. And thanks for the welcome back!
Tara: Thank you! And I am so signing up for that self fixing non-possessed car...
Mrs: Thanks you so much! I missed you guys as well :-)
Churlita: That is just what he meant. There was no moshing...just people sitting nicely on the grass eating picnic dinners and doing the head bob.
MrManuel: It did feel pretty darn good.
