Brainia Miscellania

Just thought I'd post a few odds and ends today. One of my mental clean-ups, I guess.
- Handsome Lad has said that he definitely wants to live with me. Have my place be home base. He is nervous about talking with this dad about it. I offered to be the one to handle it, but he is resistant even to that. I think he feels guilty, but he is also very unhappy at the house, as there is so much tension there. Somehow, life didn't achieve the standard of perfection WTG imagined with me gone. Well, we'll see where this goes.

- My boss has been on vacation this week and it has been so quiet and peaceful! I actually like my boss quite a bit. She is really a nice person, but she is also rather high strung. When she gets stressed she doesn't take it out on people, but you know how it is...you can't help but be aware of it. Makes me glad the buck doesn't stop with me. I never have to be that stressed about my job. Given my frame of mind, I will probably always be an indian, never a chief.

- I am dipping my toes into the waters of meeting new people, perhaps even dating. Don't make fun of me, but I have just put my profile up on The Onion personals. The service is free, although you can upgrade and get extras of some sort for a fee. I sort of figure people with profiles there might at least be interesting and have a sense of humor. I have no real expectations, but I figured that I might want to start somewhere and see what happens...so, we'll see what happens!

- Oh, and this is completely random, but I know a few of you like food :-) Food! I had the most amazing gyro yesterday evening. My mouth waters just thinking about it...is there anything like tzatziki, tender meat, those little diced tomatoes and oninos, all wrapped up in a warm pita? Yum. Alright, I just had to share that for some reason.

- One more thing! If any of you ever stopped blogging I would be so, so bummed. I'd say devastated, but I don't want to sound like a freak. So, please keep on blogging. Yes, AlienCG, I might especially be talking to you. And anyone else thinking bad thoughts too! Knock that off! Thank you.

I don't want anybody to quit their blogs either! To quote from Scary Movie 2 which was quoting from Titanic:

"Don't do that. Don't you say your goodbyes! Not tonight! Not like this!"

Okay, I'm done with theatrics. ;)

Best of luck with the dating site! If it's free I might check that out too!

I don't like food at all. :-)

I can imagine that child telling one parent that he/she wants to live with another parent has to be a very difficult thing.

Well looky here! I'm fourth! This is an improvement for me! :o)
I hope things sort themselves out so everyone is left feeling content. It must be very hard but ultimately the children have got to feel comfortable where they are. I know things will be ok.
As for being an indian, well it sounds to me as if your boss could do with your mindset, and perhaps you are being too hard on yourself.
Dating *woot woot* I can sense a few good tales ahead! haha Good Luck!

I hope he's able to talk to his dad. Maybe it will help your ex figure out he needs to get some help for his issues.

Good luck on the dating site. My town is way too small to do one of those. But I definitely want to know how it goes.

Recently when MPR told her Mother she wanted to live with us.. I was thrilled but she wasn't.. Her Mother has been quite difficult during these last few month's of MPR living with us...

As for the dating.. I really hope it goes well for you.. cause you deserve it.. And we would never make fun of you for wanting to find love..

Gyro's are yummy..

Who's not blogging? who's thinking about it? Not Me!

Tara: haha! Theatrics are good! Especially Scary Movie 2 / Titanic theatrics!
Thanks, I will let you know if anything actually comes of the personals.

MrManuel: Food? No me neither, clearly ;-)
Poor little guy caught in this. I think things are bound to settle down soon.

Evil-E: I don't think he has to really choose between us...but that is just my view. I think his dad does see it as a choice between us.
You and the Alien are free of site hosting tyranny! Yay!

Daffy: Woo hoo! Now I'm gonna feel bad though, because sometimes I'm, like, number 20 or something on your blog!
I do think things will be okay, hopefully sooner rather than later.
I hope there will be some tales to tell. At this point I might even prefer bad/funny stories to none at all!

Churlita: I will probably have to engineer some sort of sit-down between them. I'd love for this to be somewhat settled before the kids go back to school...
And I will definitely let you know how, or if, the dating goes.

Mrs: I know from my own experience how bad it feels when your child prefers to live elsewhere, but I can see that it all happens for a reason. Is MPR's mom still giving you guys a hard time?
Thanks for not teasing me. I should know you guys are very understanding :-) Strangely, I do still believe in love.
Never give up blogging, Mrs Hairy Woman! I was a little concerned with AlienCG, but he and Evil-E have found a new blog home. Yay!

I am back in the land of bloggers in a new place with a new blog. I realized that I could not abandon my public.

I love gyros. Tell me, do you pronounce it jy-roh or (y)ee-roh?

Oops, I used my Blogger sign-in for that last post.
