Tagged!

I think I might have done this before, but it is still cool, because everytime you do it it comes out differently!

So this is the task:

1. Pick up the nearest book.
2. Open to page 123
3. Find the 5th sentence
4. Post the next three sentences
5. Tag five people, and acknowledge who tagged you.

Okay, got the book...page 123...5th sentence...and here come the next three:

"Cook!" the Trunchbull shouted, turning her head towards the door. "Come here, cook! Bogtrotter wishes to tell you how good your chocolate cake is!"

This fine passage is brought to us by Roald Dahl in his book Matilda, which is sitting on my desk for a reason that I can't remember right now. But it is a good book! Roald Dahl is like this sort of evil genius I think.

Thanks to Daffy over at Approaching 40 for the tag! I know I am supposed to tag five people and I always sort of chicken out...but here, let me be brave and give it a try....I tag: AlienCG, Tara, NoRegrets, Dmarks, and Dinah. Heart on my sleeve I come to you, people! Participation is nice :-) Thanks!

Laura, thanks for being a great sport and for having a great book nearby! I'm one of these people who always wants to read what everyone else is reading. ;o)
I'm sure your tags will get into the meme, it's a pretty simple one...

I knew that was Matilda the minute I read "the Trunchbull." My girls loved that book and movie too.

Churlita: I'm glad you recognized it! I'm a big Roald Dahl fan :-)

Good thing I stopped by! I just read it and was going to do it anyway, so good! Of course, since I've posted about 15 times today, I'll write it in and post it tomorrow. If I can wait! :-)

I had no idea Roald Dahl wrote that book! I remember his book "James and the Giant Peach" and was actually hungry for peaches after our teacher read that book to us.

Thanks for the tag! This is the type of meme where people can just keep tagging and you get different responses.

NoRegrets: I'm glad you stopped by too! Thanks for sharing what you are reading :-)

Tara: Yeah, Roald Dahl has a pretty interesting catalog of both kid and adult books.
And peaches are sooooo delicious, I can see why reading about a giant one slowly getting eaten away would make you crave them :-)
Thanks for being graciously tagged!
