I am playing along with Tara on this fine Build a Birdfeeder Day
:-)
What you need to get started:
Large, open, dry evergreen cone
String or wire
Peanut butter
Knife or other spreading utensil
Small seeds or oatmeal
Bowl
Directions:
Tie string or wire onto base of cone.
Use knife to spread peanut butter on cone, partially filling it.
Roll cone in seeds, or oatmeal, in bowl. Seeds will stick to peanut butter and cover cone.
Hang in tree.
Keep an eye out for all those hungry birds!

Aww, how cool! That sounds much simpler than putting one together with wood or what-have-you. I was thinking things through the more difficult way. Lol. Anyway, that's a great way to make a feeder. I would build one like that and hang it around my balcony, but my cat would go nuts looking at the birdies.
Peanut butter and oatmeal--mine all mine. I probably could not make this thing because it would be far too tasty during the process.
I'm fighting over it with Evil-e.. is mine... all mine..( ha ha ha evil laugh inserted here)!
Tara: I tend not to try and attract birds either as my cat is really into hunting. I know it is his instinct but I want to cry when he brings me little "presents".
Evil-E: haha! I need to rename this an 'Evil-E Feeder' and send one along to you :-)
BabyBull: Okay and one 'BabyBull Feeder' coming right up! That is my kind of food preparation...simple and the ingredients are right on hand.
