Stuff Yo Face for Freedom!

Thought I'd put up a quick little Independence Day Choose and Defend. It is still just Wednesday in the rest of the world after all :)

Today's Choose and Defend involves food...because that is always fun. Before the big fireworks show tonight, you might want to have a barbeque. If you could only serve one of these traditional favorites which would you Choose?

Hamburgers
OR

Hot Dogs

Of course, along with either hamburgers or hot dogs, you may have as many side dishes as you like! That should be some consolation. Feel free to mention anything you'd like at your dream BBQ....as long as it doesn't include both hamburgers and hot dogs :)  Because this is Choose and Defend Wednesday!

Thanks for stopping by...Happy 4th!

I have to go with hamburgers...as long as there is cheese of course. ;)

I know that they probably contain meat that is well, not perhaps of the greatest quality (to put it mildly) but I think I prefer hotdogs with onion, mustard and tomato ketchup. It's a close thing though, I also love hamburgers (beefburgers).

Mmm, hotdogs. I love the smell of them on the grill; especially if they're the beef hotdogs.

My brother invited us over for a bbq on the 4th of July and we had steaks. That's another favorite of mine. We also had a side of baked beans and corn on the cob. I stuffed myself silly for the love of my country.

We actually chose and had burgers with colby jack cheese, grilled onions, tomato, pickles and the usual condiments with potato salad on the side.

I'm going to pretend you said sausage and not just hotdog for this war. Comparing a great hamburger patty with a great sausage, I'd vote for the sausage. They can be much more complex and savory by themselves than a hamburger patty ever could be.

Hot dogs, because there is a variety of them, and you can top them with sauerkraut, or chili, or just ketchup and diced raw onion, or wrap them in croissants, or slow cook them in BBQ sauce and Jack Daniels (and eat them with toothpicks), and they taste just the same on a hamburger bun!

I love both. Hamburgers allow for lot of condiments and fresh tomato and lettuce. Hot dogs, especially the all-beef variety, pair well with fire and sauerkraut.

I'm going to have to say hamburgers, just because of the whole condiment thing.

Silver: Yes, there will surely be cheese! One for Hamburgers.

FW: I ignore all the talk about hot dog ingredients :) One for Hot Dogs.

Tara: Mmmmm...steak! I love beans and corn on the cob too! Two for Hot Dogs.

Silly: Ooh, sounds delicious...*drool* I am a big fan of grilled onions! Two for Hamburgers.

3GK: I think a sausage could be counted as a hot dog. Same shape, same bun, same condiments can be used. No party foul here. Three for Hot Dogs.

Cindy: You know your stuff. I loooove bacon wrapped hot dogs and anything served in a crescent roll :-D Four for hot dogs.

Jasen: As a gardener, I imagine you appreciate the fresh tomatoes that pair so nicely with a burger. Three for Hamburgers.

Everyone: Woooo...this is a close one at 3-4. Hot Dogs are prevailing with a slight margin. Anyone else want to talk meat?

Wait, my choice is dead mammal or dead mammal? Hmmm. Yeah, a weird one for me to come back to, but short of being on the verge of starvation I couldn't choose either. Throw some shrimp or salmon on that grill, though, and I'm in.

Secret: My apologies to the pescatarian in the mix! You may have your shrimp and salmon for sure, although they are just as dead...but quite delicious!
