Put Them Platters On Automatic

Saturday Scavenger Shots has been hosted today by totally terrific Tara @ Eclectic Spaghetti!  She has given us the word PORTABLE to work with. I think it is a good word, lots of potential. It seems like with a decent bag, almost anything can be PORTABLE.

With my trusty bags I carry around my lunch, a book or two, papers I might need
and other odds and ends. It all becomes PORTABLE!

Yesterday, DR and I went for a good long hike. We decided to bring along a little picnic lunch...

Here you see water, brought in reusable PORTABLE bottles, chips in a container that makes them PORTABLE and non-crushable, and sandwiches, the ultimate in PORTABLE foods. We used the bag that carried everything as a little mat for our PORTABLE feast!

There you have a couple of the PORTABLE moments in my life. Now, we will see who Tara chooses to proclaim the next word. Alrighty then...carry on!

Oo, I love that pretty blue bag you have in that first shot there! I have been admiring purses and bags lately. One of my friends has one that has a nice purple lining in it. Maybe it's time for me to do some bag shopping.

That's so cool that you and DR went on a hike! That looks like a nice, portable meal, too!

You are the chosen one for the next word! :)

It's true that there are so many things now that are portable that were not before! Remember when we used to be tethered to the wall if we wanted to make or get a call? Or more recently, we were tethered to our PCs!
Portable is the way of our days!

Tara: Thanks! I get a lot of comments on that bag and it sure does the job. I have kind of laid off it, but buying new purses and totes used to be a bit of an indulgence of mine.
We are trying out becoming regular hikers, so we'll see how that goes!
And thanks for the tag :)

Silly: You are so right! I often think of teen evenings marooned in the den with the phone. haha! It is nice to be able to take our stuff with us where we want to be.

Secret: I know you pack and lovely and delicious meal to go! Ours was very basic, but I would love to hear about your picnic when you decide to do it :)
