Yes, You Behind the Bike Shed...

Many thanks to our good blogging friend Jasen @ Swamp Gas & Moonlit Reflections for choosing this week's Saturday Scavenger Shots word. The word? BRICK.
We all know about using BRICK as a building material. Who didn't learn at an early age that it was far superior to straw or sticks? And we all know that society has made us just another BRICK in the wall. There is an English expression about being "as thick as a BRICK" and an American one about being built like "a BRICK shit house". Neither of which sound very flattering, although one is meant to be.

For my BRICK shot, I stopped this morning on my way to work for this quick BRICK pic :)

This is some kind industrial building. I love BRICK as an accent or for walkways, chimneys, even a little wall...but a whole BRICK building can be sort of....too much. But there is also something pretty about BRICK, especially as it ages.

Thanks for stopping by for my Saturday Scavenger Shot. Hope your weekend is BRICK-tastic!

Very nice representation of the word. This is one of those words that can means several different things. I had a little something different in mind when I chose the word, but that's just geeky ol' me.

I like aged brick and also brick painted white (even though it's impractical).

I like your commitment by stopping to take a photo of a brick building!

I started to think of the song "She's a Brick House", and wanted to dance. Instead, I found some other photos to represent the word.

Oh and the next word will be "turbulence"!

Jasen: I might have known you'd do something different. Always great to have a word with many uses!

Secret: Sometimes practicality is secondary, right?

Tara: Oh, I am commited alright! haha! I thought of that song too...very dancey :)
Love your photos and love the new word. Thank you!
