How 'bout the Power to Move You?

This is a magical time of year. Or so I'm told. So how about a little magic for today's Choose and Defend Wednesday? Well...not so much magic as what is known as paranormal phenomenon.  I will come right out and say I'm not a believer in such things. But that's just me! And anyway, Choose and Defend is rarely, if ever, based on anything remotely real :)

Which paranormal power would you prefer to possess?

Telekinesis
OR

Telepathy

Hey, they both have their appeal. And both are kind of creepy. So please enjoy choosing one and then defending your choice to the rest of us, all of you Wonderboys and Wondergirls. Thanks!

I don't believe, either. But... telekinesis. Especially if I could move myself with my mind.

I really don't want to know what most people are thinking. I can some definite disadvantages to being able to read people's minds. However, I find it would be really useful to be able to move things around without touching them. I would choose TELEKINESIS, final answer.

I don't want to read minds. Some things just need to remain a mystery.

I'd love to be able to move things with my mind, though, so I'll choose telekinesis.

Did you change the appearance of your blog title? It looks different; pops out more! I like it!

Telekinesis, hands-down.

I'm absolutely certain that, with telepathy, the ratio of stuff-you're-horrified-to-know to stuff-you-wanna-know would be astronomical, and probably debilitating.

Telekinesis please. As long as I could do big things and didn't freak out like the kids in Chronicle.

I'd rather be Superman than Professor X. Telekinesis could be used to make oneself fly.

James: ha! Maybe you could use telepathy too...for when talking is just too much effort :) One for Telekinesis.

Secret: Telekinesis as teleportation device? It just might work! Two for Telekinesis.

Jasen: But you could have secret, snarky talks with your BFF about people in the same room! I guess there is texting for that :) Three for Telekinesis.

Tara: That is appearing to be the consensus. If it is unsaid, better left so :) Four for Telekinesis.
And yes! Thanks for noticing! I did it on a logo creating site.

DiDC: Long time, no see...well, around here :) I feel your are probably quite right about all those thoughts floating around that should remain private. Five for Telekinesis.

NoRegrets: Sure, you can do big things! Furniture moving need never be an issue again. And no freak outs :) Six for Telekinesis.

Dmarks: Yes! The power of flight! Hard to beat that. Seven for Telekinesis.

Everyone: I wasn't expecting this overwhelming defeat of Telepathy! I guess I was not thinking of how weird that could potentially get :) But you guys did! 7-0 for Telekinesis! Anyone else want to speak up? You'll have to type your comment, as no one here is telepathic :-D

I'm late for the party but I would go for telekinesis too so it only confirms the results. With so many people in the world, I can imagine tuning just into one mind would be difficult and it would drive me insane if I just heard everyone's thoughts all the time, horrible!

FW: I would hope that if I became telepathic I'd be able to choose to tune in. Otherwise, it would be unbearable! Eight for Telekinesis!

Yes, we are firmly in for telekinesis around here :)
