I noticed I haven't done a Friday 5 in quite some time. I need to remedy that, as I do enjoy them very much. This particular one is great, what with it featuring food and all! One of my favorite things :)
Won't you join me in exploring where I go for great treats? Please feel encouraged to play along in comments or on your own blog!
1. Where do you go for a great cup of coffee or tea? If I have a gift card, I will admit to being a sucker for the omnipresent Starbucks. However, on most occasions, if I don't get my brews at home I am more than happy to stop in at 7-Eleven. My friend Millie and I call their coffee Gucci Coffee, because it tastes so fancy!
2. Where do you go for a great doughnut? Mmmmm...Donut Man. What up?!?!?
3. Where do you go for a great sandwich? I like Subway, sure. (Bring back the Seafood Sensation, dangit!) But the most delicious, crave-worthy sandwich comes from this great place near my house called Plaza Produce. Everything is so fresh and delicious. My favorite thing to get is a tuna on squaw bread. The tuna is mixed with yogurt instead of mayo...no relish in the mix. OMG. I am almost at a drool right now.
4. Where do you go for a great bowl of soup? I am a big fan of the french onion soup at Red Robin. As their little song says...Yummmmm....
5.Where do you go for a great post-midnight snack? Go out after midnight to eat? Me? Even be out after midnight and need food? Not likely. My older kids and their friends seem to be big supporters of the Dollar Menu at McDonalds though. I will give them their say for this one, because I'm sure you don't want to hear me say - Uuuhhh...my fridge?
And there you have it! A Friday 5 that has whet my appetite :) Please check back in tomorrow to see my HAPPINESS for Saturday Scavenger Shots. Will it be food related? Oh man...I hope not....

Good set of questions.
1. Starbucks coffee taste bitter and burned to me. I used to like the cafe au lait at Borders.
2. Dunkin Donuts. Double chocolate.
3. There's a place here called Tomato Head that makes a Kepner Melt - baked tofu, pesto, pineapple, walnuts, Monterey Jack cheese, spinach, onion, tomato. It's unbelievably good.
4. I virtually never order soup out unless it's on a coast and they have seafood chowder or she crab soup.
5. Yeah, mostly my fridge. I am out that late sometimes, but usually not stopping to eat.
1. Home brew. Seattles best #2. Otherwise it's Pilot coffee on the way to work.
2. If that's a donut, I'm coming to visit! Donuts To Go for me.
3. We have a Little Phillie here with a good pastrami sammich.
4. Ditto to what SAW said. Clam chowder on the warf!
5. We have a 24 hour hole-in-the-wall mexican food place. Good stuff. Although I'm not sure I've eaten anything past midnight in the last 12 years.
1. At home or at work. In both places, the beans are freshly ground and the coffee is made with filtered water.
2. Jack Frost. Small, soft butter-cream donuts. Drool.
3. DiBella's Old Fashioned Subs or at home (I make a mean reuben).
4. Mom's house. She makes the best chicken soup, beef soup, chili, beef stew...I'd keep going, but I'm getting hungry.
5. It's been a while, but when I did, Luna's Restaurant. It's a small, Greek-owned place and barfly magnet. Good food cheap.
Secret: Ooh, I do love clam chowder! And I wish we had a Dunkin' Donuts around here.
3GK: Come on over for fresh strawberry donuts and stay for the weather (which kind of sucks right now because it is so hot...but we have our rep to maintain.) I love pastrami too!
Jasen: I want some of your mom's soup. How do you reckon it would ship? :-D
Good answers to those questions LB!
1. I usually get my tea/coffee on the go from Pumpkin
2. Krispy Kreme
3. Subway, Italian BMT
4. Waggamamas who serve a very nice little Miso soup I have as a starter
5. I'd probably go for fish and chips at a Harry Ramsden's at this hour if I had a choice, with lots of salt and vinegar.
1. Where do you go for a great cup of coffee or tea? I've got some good coffee and tea at home, but I do get the occasional Starbucks giftcard. I feel like I could get a caffeine high just inhaling the smell of coffee in their restaurants.
2. Where do you go for a great doughnut? There's a place in the next town called Spudnuts. It's a family-owned bakery and they make the tastiest donuts. Oh my, they're good.
3. Where do you go for a great sandwich?
I like ordering sandwiches from Applebees. Yes, the sandwiches can be greasy, but they're so tasty.
4. Where do you go for a great bowl of soup?
Well, I'm not a huge soup fan unless my mom makes her potato soup, corn chowder or chicken noodle. Olive Garden makes good soup though.
5.Where do you go for a great post-midnight snack?
My fridge usually has some interesting things inside to reheat. I usually pop up some popcorn, too.
FW: Ooh, I love Subway's Italian BMT! Also, fish and chips with lots of salt and vinegar sounds perfect.
Tara: For some reason the name Spudnuts makes me laugh :) Applebees makes good sandwiches...I have nothing against a little grease.
