In yesterday's Choose and Defend post, I told you I would show you what I look at for several hours each day when I am on the public desk. Here you go -
NoRegrets: It isn't bad, per se, it just always makes me laugh a little...that multitude of frantic birds makes me think of THE Birds...thus, my post from yesterday :-)
That's colorful and cheerful! Maybe that should be a holiday. Take a photo of what you see when sitting at your desk...day! From my desk I see maroon chairs and the fire evacuation route. :D
NoRegrets: Aw thanks! They're mostly awful, but I am still into having them read :-D
KenV: Eeewwwww! Such a boy. haha! We have those birds aaalll over the room here, flailing about.
Ananda: Yes! For every 50 hours the kids read and report in SRP we put up a little blue strip. It takes 26,000 hours to fill the lake and I think we might overflow!
MrManuel: That is Lake Arcadia, being filled by the kids spending time reading this summer :-)
Tara: I am lucky to work in a colorful, whimsical land. I have fun views at both my desk and the public desk. That would be a great holiday :-)

AH! btw, just found all your poems. gotta go read them all
"Help us fill Lake Arcadia."
Everybody go pee in the lake!!
Initially, in that small picture, those didn't look much like bird profiles... More like what I'd be doing if I were attacked by "The Birds".
I must say, it does have a frantic feel to it. Do they fill the lake by reading?
What is all the blue under the birds?

It is a bit... um..busy.
Secret: That tends to be the general theme in Children's Services. Nearly controlled chaos :-)
