Happy New Year! We made it through another event-filled trip around the sun, so congratulations! I thought that for this week's Choose and Defend Wednesday perhaps we could all use a little recognition for our hard work and will to survive. So this Choose and Defend is about getting your props.
How would you like to be recognized and remembered?
Town (of your choice) Named After You
OR
Your Face on a $50 Bill
For the sake of the game, assume the change will be permanent and that people everywhere will rejoice :)
So make a choice and tell us why in comments.
Choose and Defend!

This is a tough one to answer. I want my picture on a fifty. I also want a town named after me. If I can't have the town named after me on $50 bill, than I guess I will have to settle for my gorgeous mug (snicker!) on the money. They better get my good side. MY FACE ON A $50, final answer. That's because with my luck, the town will be wiped out by a meteor, fire, flood, UFO invasion, Gojira (Godzilla).
Well, ahem, I already have towns named after me in Kentucky and Indiana (Cynthiana), so I don't NEED that, but, unfortunately, I don't WANT a weird drawing of me on money. So, I'll go with defending my towns. I wrote to one as a child and they sent me a lifetime parking pass. What I didn't know then, but I do know now is... woot!

I think that I'll go for the town named after me. I like the $50 bill idea, but then everyone would know my face. I like privacy. So I want it to be a tiny town out in the middle of nowhere. Should the name of my town pop up in conversation, folks would say "Beccaville? Where the heck is that?"
I like the town named after me. Money gets dirty, nasty, and you start ignoring what's on it. BTW, you are going to JAIL for defacing that 50!
Yikes - not my face on money! So I'm going with the town named after me, I suppose. But you know, I have never liked things having m fist name on them, so I guess I'd go with a town bearing my last name. Does that count?
Jasen: You thought of everything! There will be no destroying your legacy :) One for Money Face.
Cindy: Very cool! And I think it is so cute that you wrote to one of your towns. One for Town Name.
Silly: Aw, you're so modest :) Beccaville has a nice ring to it! Two for Town Name.
NoRegrets: When I'm imprisoned, please send greetings from the City of NoRegrets! Three for Town Name.
Secret: Of course! Your last name counts too. Four for Town Name.
Everyone: So far, we are at 4-1, with participating bloggers preferring to have locational rather than a monetary recognition. It isn't too late for others to give us their vote! Choose and Defend can go on and on and on....
A town named after me. That would be pretty cool. There would be too much confusion to change the picture on money.
Silver: You are considerate...don't want to cause confusion :) Five for Town Name.
Now 5-1!
I'll go for my face on the bill, it sort of completes the picture for me: there is a village with my last name and a street with it exists in my home town, along with a pub too (again in my home town)! There is also a prison with my surname! Does any of this count? I'd prefer to wear shades for my money shot :-)
FW: Oh my goodness! You do have lots of real estate honoring you :) That all counts! And, yes, you may absolutely wear shades for your money shot. haha! Two for Money Face.
Now... 5-2!
I want a town named after me, definitely. Money gets passed around to all sorts of characters. At least with a town, people can make it look nice and put it in order.
Tara: haha! You don't want those shady folks with their fingers all up in your face! Your town would be lovely. Six for Town Name.
Now, 6-2 :)
