For this Choose and Defend Wednesday, I'd like to give you another gift. But as always, you must make a choice. And, as always, I humbly request that you make an argument for why your choice is the right one for you! So I ask you...if you could control something, what would it be?
The Elements
OR
Time
There you go. You know what to do. Choose and Defend!

Right now, I'd like to control time and have it be 9pm already, at least for tonight so I can go home. :)
I would rather control the elements. Controlling time is too much responsibility for me. Ha. I'd be afraid that I would screw things up somehow with a desire to remove bad people... only to find out that if they had not done their bad deeds that something else important would not have been created.
Why the elements seem to be a safer thing to control, I can't say. I have no logic for that. But it would sure be fun to play with them.
I'm going time on this one. Assuming that I could move it back and forth, speed it up or slow it down, the possibilities are substantial. Why control the rain, for example, when I can just roll back time five minutes, grab an umbrella, and start my walk again?
And think of the months I could reclaim by backing up the clock and not watching all of those Gilligan's Island and Brady Bunch reruns...
I'll go with the elements. I too think controlling time would be too big a responsibility. The ability to control anything in my life sounds good right about now though!
Tara: That is an unarguable reason! One for Time.
Silly: There would be something fun about raining on people's parades or deciding not to :) One for Elements.
James: Ah, making up for time wasted! Not a bad idea at all. Two for Time.
FW: I hear you. Lack of control can feel very frustrating and tiring. Two for Elements.
Everyone: So far this is a straight tie of 2-2. Who will break the tie?
