It is Wednesday, thus it is time to Choose and Defend! Last week I gave you a toughie. This week I'm going to toss it to you real softly. Sweetly and softly...that's right. This question comes to you in honor of an upcoming holiday. I am speaking, of course, of Easter. Now, I am not a religious person, so I don't celebrate Easter in the Christian sense. More like the old school rebirth of nature...springtime...thing. And I'm in it for the candy. So, I thought I'd ask - Which do you prefer and why?
Jelly Beans
OR
Peeps
Show me your sweet tooth, darling! Choose and Defend!

This is a real softball question for me. Jelly beans. Love 'em. Also, I hate Peeps. Can't stand the little globs of marshmallow. Disgusting. JELLY BEANS.
I don't recognise Peeps from the photo I'm afraid, so it's jelly beans for me too - although I don't like every colour.
Jelly beans. But the regular sweet kind, not the fruit/weird flavored ones like jelly bellies. Just good old jelly beans with plenty of licorice ones in the bag.
(But really, Cadbury mini eggs - the ones with the hard candy shell. LOVE THEM!)
Oops, that was me. I was logged into another account!
Jelly beans all the way!!! My kids are obsessed with peeps and want to blow them up in the Microwave. I have a bad feeling this may become a tradition in our house.
I don't think I've ever had a Peep. They creep me out with their fluorescent colors and spongy texture. I don't trust them. They're up to something.
On the other hand, I'm not a fan of the generic jelly bean but I do like the Jelly Belly.
Jelly bean: final answer.
Until the day I remember to jam a Peep onto a stick and brown it over a campfire, and then decide if I like it or not, I will stay away from them. Jelly Beans are my choice here, because Laura purposefully left out Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs, but, as Secret Agent Woman said, I prefer the basic Cherry, Orange, Lemon, Lime, Grape, Grapefruit, and Watermelon flavors. Also, to this day, I will throw out the Liquorice ones. Yuck!

Jasen: Disgusted by marshmallows! Interesting :) One for Jelly Beans.
FW: Aw, no peeps across the pond. Do you not like the black ones? Two for Jelly Beans.
Secret: I like the black ones too. I decided to leave chocolate out of the mix, because to me that is never a fair fight...but that might just be me :) Three for Jelly Beans.
Annie: haha! Kids are good at making new, disgusting traditions! Four for Jelly Beans.
James: They do look like schemers...
Five for Jelly Beans.
Cindy: What a great idea! No reason peeps wouldn't be good roasted :)
Yes, I just couldn't throw a powerful contender like chocolate into the mix. And I will take you black jelly beans. Six for Jelly Beans.
Everyone: My goodness! As I mentioned, I didn't put a chocolate candy in the running as I felt it might have an unfair advantage. Little did I know (honestly!) that Peeps were so reviled! So, as it stands, we have a vote of 6-0, with Jelly Beans slaughtering Peeps. Happy Easter, ya filthy animals!
Peeps, please! I get sick of jelly beans all too soon before Easter, since my mom goes on the hunt for them months in advance.
We bought some Peeps to enjoy tomorrow, and those peeps will not see me coming.
Tara: Finally! I knew there was a fan out there :) One for Peeps.
6-1 Jelly Beans v. Peeps.
