This is Encyclopedia of the EXQUISITE: an Anecdotal History of Elegant Delights by
I hate to be cliched, but some days there is nothing more EXQUISITE than some sweet, milky coffee.
Candlelight is always an EXQUISITE addition to any occasion. This is my sweet Miss Personality at her 8th birthday party on Thursday evening. She is turning into an exotic beauty, with an EXQUISITE style all her own.
Maybe there are not that many things that should truly be considered EXQUISITE. It has always seemed a rather lofty word to me. Also, people talk about EXQUISITE pain, as well as EXQUISITE pleasure...so that complicates things :) But I've done my best to show you my simple version of this EXQUISITE word.
Thanks for stopping in and getting all fancified up in here. Your humble servant @ WFHiT?

I'm not sure I can wrap my mind around exquisite pain, since I think of the word only as a positive. But I agree that even simple pleasures, like good coffee, can be exquisite.
I've also thought of it as a lofty or pretentious term too, not one I'd use regularly but then I guess that's the point. Still, good selections here LB, they made me think :-)
Secret: Yes, I think of it as positive too...and I'm not a fan of any sort of pain.
FW: Exactly, it is not a term to throw around, but it has its place. Glad you liked my choices :)
That coffee looks so good!
I never use the word exquisite, but I finally put up my photo for the word. It gave me an excuse to scrounge around my corner cupboard.
Happy Birthday to Miss Personality!
You have posted some truly EXQUISITE pictures upon your blog. I do like some sweet, milky coffee myself. I have even been known to cold brew my own coffee for it as well. So tell us, which EXQUISITE person are you going to tag for next week's word?
Tara: I love your exquisite photo!
And thanks for the birthday wishes...she's getting so big :)
Want to pick the next word?
Jasen: I know you are a coffee connoisseur!
I have tagged Tara...in several places. haha!
