I'll Be Upon You By the Moonlight Side

Either Tara's Saturday Scavenger Shots word fits in great with my Choose and Defend Wednesday or vice versa. Either way, we gots ourselves a mini-theme a cookin'. Yup.  For what is more of a first-to-mind nocturnal animal than the WOLF?  Howling at the moon anyone?

The WOLF is the popular subject of t-shirts, tattoos, and blacklight posters. Somehow he got co-opted as some sort of symbol of badass mystic vibrations or whatever.  Surely each of my kids has owned a mystical Native American/WOLF t-shirt...and my ex has a WOLF tattoo on one arm, glowing green eyes and all.  In spite of this, I have no photographic evidence of any of these things!

This is what I have instead -

You are looking at 75 purple paper wolves howling at 75 yellow paper moons.
I happened to have this on hand for a storytime craft for this summer.
That is the kind of WOLF you get from laura b. today :)

And there you go! So, now you can spend the weekend howling at the moon and avoiding any fearsome wereWOLF types that may accost you. Sure, theWereWOLF of London's hair was perfect, but he'll rip your lungs out!  Ahhhhoooooo!

Aw, I love the cutouts you posted! I love the look of a wolf howling at the moon.

I used to have one wolf T-shirt, but I don't know what happened to it. I may have given it away! What the heck was I thinking?

Oh and....*tag* you're it for next week's word! :)

I love the cut outs too. Reminds me of my old activities. Sigh. Thankfully I get to see so many fun things that you do at work so that I can get in my kids and craft fix.

Owwwooooooooo!

Tara: I have always thought that howling at the moon would be fun :)
I like your wolf wall hanging!
And the word is...CHIPS.

Silly: Thanks! I love doing crafts and the die-cut makes it soooo easy.
Nice howl!

Closest we get to wolves around here is coyotes. But I do love to hear them howl at night behind my house.

Secret: Yes, we have coyotes rather than wolves in this area as well. I wish I heard them howl more often.
