If you have to decide something quickly would you rather....
Flip a Coin
OR
Play Rock, Paper, Scissors
Now, I realize neither of these options may be a sound idea if you are making a BIG decision...but if you're waffling between going out for Chinese food or Pizza a quick solution may be a perfect solution.
Which of these methods do you prefer and why? Choose and Defend! Thanks :)
Flip a coin. Then at least it feels utterly random and not a game of out-witting others. But really, when I make decisions I carefully weigh the pros and cons and then put that aside and go with my gut.
ReplyDeleteI would do rock-paper-scissors. Then I get a chance to whack someone and if I'm frustrated over not being able to decide, that will make me feel better.
ReplyDeleteRock, paper, scissors, lizard, Spock.
ReplyDeleteWhat 3GKnight said.
ReplyDeleteI usually have to flip a coin...because I'm making these tough decisions on my own...and I can't my cat to make her paws into rocks, papers or scissors.
ReplyDeleteIf it's a straight up, that is a one and done, I would go with R-P-S. If it's best two out of three or more, I would take the coin flip. Since you mention a quick decision, I am going to assume you mean one and done. In that case, I pick R-P-S, final answer.
ReplyDeleteCan anyone tell me what the odds of winning Rock, Paper, Scissors are?
ReplyDeleteSecret: I like the way you think. Going with your gut seems like a good option, in the end :) One for Flip a Coin.
ReplyDeleteChurlita: Ha! I do that too! One for RPS.
3GK: I would have to have a chart in front of me to remember who does what to whom :-D Two for RPS(LS)
catskill: Very well...Three for RPS(LS)
Bobby: You make a good point there. You definitely need a second party for one and not so much for the other. Two for Flip a Coin.
Jasen: Yes, sir. One and done! Four for RPS.
And I would guess the odds are 1 in 3 to win, lose, or draw?
Everyone: So we have a current score of 2-4, with the flip of a coin trailing rock, paper, scissors. Anyone else want to settle something quickly? Choose and Defend!
Rock, paper, scissors. It offers more control.
ReplyDeleteBB: That is true. You are the one choosing what to shoot! Five for RPS
ReplyDeleteNow 2-5
I'd probably toss a coin, then toss it again and again to get best of 3, best of 5 etc.. As I probably wouldn't be able to settle it to my satisfaction with just one toss.
