Describe the Description

Do you know haiku form?  It actually varies, but we tend to just simplify it to a three line stanza, with a pattern of 5-7-5 syllables per line.  I love haiku.  I have reason to believe NoRegrets likes them too.  Anyway, I thought I'd see if I could ask you to play along with me here.  In comments, would you write a haiku about yourself?  A haiku that is an Iku!  A youku?  Meku?   I think this is prompted by something I thought of idly and it sort of got stuck in my brain - My Iku

There's too much of me
It's the only way you know
I really exist

Life filled with joys and sorrows.

  2. Mind is lost today.
    Haiku writing is tricky.
    I will learn again.

That's all I've got, but thank you for reminding me how many syllables are in a haiku! We used to write those back in high school and had an instructor who looked like Kyle Mclachlan. :)

  3. I'm not good at things
    That combine words and numbers
    But I love haikus.

    Did I do that right?

  4. Secret: That is excellent. I feel like I'm constantly reassessing.

Tara: You picked it right up again! You had an English teacher that looked like Kyle MacLachlan? Most of mine seemed to look more like...I don't know...William Daniels (Mr. Feeny) maybe :-)

Churlita: You did that perfectly! Turns out you ARE good at at least one thing combining words and numbers.

  5. Funny - if people check out the link right now, it goes to the "I'm glad you're not dead."

    My constant struggle.
Who am I? What can I be?
    Just breathe in, breathe out.

And, as always, I like your Iku!
